Why not paint the entire car? How about cost! Pretty easy to paint a hood, bumper, or GTS roof panel, but when you get to painting the entire car there's a lot of dissemble, reassembly work involved if you are going to do it correctly.

You must have missed the part where I also mentioned 1/4 panels. Plus if someone is sending out their car for $10-$15k of work I imagine $5k isn't that much more. That's just what I would do, though.

I'm curious about it too. Carfax is clean.
But it's been from dealer to dealer for a while...

This is one of those notorious cars on F-chat. There was a classified ads on the car here that had like 100,000 hits. Bottom line is the owner (in the same city listed on the eBay add) made an ass of himself here and no one trusts him at all.

The car wasn't too bad. The owner burned the bridges to the ground and over a year later, he still owns the car. I remember it had a front window replaced...

I think Robb was talking about the silver car's owner, not the yellow car.

Do you also have a source for the vin sticker? You know frommthe drivers side door jamb?

I havent found one yet. Heard about a guy in the uk but never a dinal answer.

Kind of a problem doing the jambs if you dont need to and you will wnd up removing something of importance. Might nake it hard to sell a car.

I guess but you could just cover that up. I personally would rather have the whole car repainted and cover up the inner door so no stickers have to be removed as opposed to painting only half the car. If there's a bit of a paint shade difference from the outside to the inner door jam I could care less...however, if it's on half the car's exterior, different story.

That's my opinion and I'm sure many disagree...so if that doesn't bother them the car is still for sale!

Yes, I was referring to the silver car. I think the biggest issue for some is why would they spend money and effort on a ppi on this car if they can't be certain how a transaction or back and forth would be handled with the seller. He really put-off the whole group of members here...

He will have to put that on consignment to move it. I cant believe his attitude in his description.

Wow, now thats what i call an ultra clean and unmolested example! Can't be many with an original oem cassette radio unit either!

I think this is the highest price example of a 355B that i have seen so far in the UK and generally its the 2.7 motronic examples that are trading the highest over here right now...... but Meridian are a serious and well established official Ferrari dealer, so who knows?!!
I think its very interesting that official Ferrari dealers are now promoting the 355 .... they probably make more margin out of selling one of these now, than a brand new California T!!

Agreed with all of that, as prices for the "correct" car are very strong in England over the last year, and clearly rising. I'm glad I bought mine when i did back in April, I also felt like I paid a premium for the right car back then (as it was from Joe Macari) but it is a gorgeous example and may well continue to appreciate, so when I see this, I know I made the right decision, financially anyway! ;)

BTW i did recall seeing another Red on black Berlinetta from another Ferrari dealer for £199k in the summer, but it still had the plastic over the carpets!

Seems strange to me - the blue car on e-bay. The car has a free report available to see; the ratings for this model go from 59 to 76, and there are no issues. This is 'supposed to be' a 9K car, and it rates 61???

Anyone interested in this car should google the VIN. Checkered history with front and rear damage.

The price is now $138,000.000 ($137,999.00)... seems like we were fools and just put up with the owner when it way way cheaper! :)

    LoL
