I suspect you don't like the P1 result because you are probably not very fond of green for sportscars. You have all the right Apart from that, I see the green CF perfectly executed and matching the colour theme. Very interesting.

Hi guys, one simple question as every body knows that the 599 GTO done at 599 samples (?) is a great and specific car, and several owners stated that they will never say good by to their cars, then the F12 TDF is just starting its life, and several 599 GTO owners are already thinking to sale them to afford the new F12 TDF or to get cash: what is the expecting trend on the price in the coming let's say one year? if you add that the F12 TDF at its beginning (and produce at 799 samples) will be priced around 400 k euros (430 k$ as of today) and as usual we will find some for sale after few month (with certainly a premium between 20 and 50%), so what would be the value of both cars mid of 2016?
cridom 60, i am sorry, but this question is anything but simple, in the end i think the variable that prices depend on in the near Future are what happens to interestrates in the US and the Eurozone, how is the worldeconomy , how is the stockmarket doing, and and and.... Don't know about future values, but with a few tasty options on both of them, the tdf is priced about the same as a gto when new, that makes the tdf a great bargain especially given it's cutting edge technology and world leading performance. Even though I have a gto, I think the tdf will be more valuable given what it is. I love my gto, but driving a f12 was a staggering experience, let alone in tdf form ! Even the aventador sv is priced more than the tdf which makes it a bargain, it will just go up in the used market.
Do you have an external link to the picture? I was browsing the flickr of this photographer but didn't find this particular photo. I'm most interested in looking at this rare shade Rosso Monza, as has been reported.
Grey is definitely the best color on the GTO in my opinion... Great Vid by Marchettino https://www.facebook.com/MarchettinoYouTube/videos/10156184538175035/
Dominique, Great question ! Although your query is better suited to a GTO market place thread or a fresh thread on 599 GTO vs. F12 TDF Future Values thread I have an opinion (big shocker). To me the bottom line is that when you are talking about limited edition V12 F cars the cars will eventually appreciate (some faster than others). Nobody has a crystal ball, but seems as if the GTO will continue appreciating for at least the next 6-8 years (at least until she is 10-12 years old). Seems as if there has historically been somewhat of a flattening out of the appreciation curve at around the 10-12 year mark (every model is different). If your looking for a quick profit over the next 9 months I'd buy Facebook and not a GTO or TDF - haha just kidding (not really as I LOVE FB). The analysis has to come down to whether you can buy a TDF at MSRP. If not then this discussion is pointless but if you can purchase at MSRP and also flip it on the open market please read on. If you are one of the lucky 799 and can get a TDF at MSRP your guaranteed a premium to what you paid. Whats the premium ? In the US it could be $150K or even $200K over list. In France I don't have a clue. So if you can get a TDF at list you will make a reasonable profit. Will the GTO be better ? Probably not better but likely similar returns. Why ? With the GTO I think you will see a slow and steady rise for the next several years. A $1M average price at 5 years (2016) and even $2M at the 10 year mark (ie. 2021) wouldn't be outrageous for super low mileage examples (ie. under 1K miles) with higher mileage examples selling for a discount (maybe 10%-20% based on mileage). Based on what ? Based on the appreciation curve of recent V12 F cars like the Enzo. Will the GTO hit the Enzo level so quickly ? Probably not as the GTO (and TDF for that matter) are not unique body styles like the Enzo (and LaF for that matter). BUT even if the GTO is NOT perceived as a titular "halo" car, it is still extremely well respected as a driver (and a limited edition with only 599 made (snicker here Carbon) so what would be reasonable appreciation ? I think 2/3 of the Enzo appreciation/price point is reasonable and relatively conservative and will eventually be implemented in the marketplace. Is the GTO really worth that premium ? Personally I love how modern my GTO is but also appreciate that its a really raw sensitive and potentially grouchy wailing banshee. She can be very touchy to drive when pushed by a mediocre driver like me. Yesterday I tried to thrash my GTO on the back roads of the north shore of Long Island for a half an hour or so. Nobody could keep up with me ! The drive makes my day and makes all of my professional and personal problems disappear for that brief period of time where I need to be ultra focused so that my GTO doesn't kill me. Will the TDF be as well liked/loved by real drivers ? Thats the ultimate question isn't it ? If your just going to put the GTO or TDF in a garage and stare at them all day thats fine and I honestly have no problem with that. I do strongly believe the GTO, when actually driven, provides a significant return on your investment in the form of emotional satisfaction. For that reason alone the GTO will retain an upward price trajectory for the foreseeable future. The jury is still out on the TDF but I'm sure there will be several GTO owners who will be adding a TDF to their stable and we can look forward to their reviews. Until then, anybody that provides a definitive response is just plain old speculating. My 2 cents and for what its worth I have NEVER had anybody in my GTO that didn't walk away saying Holy Sh..t I gotta get one of these !!! Said it before and I'll say it again - how can you put a price tag on that feeling ? The GTO is one of the very few cars in the world that can uniformly elicit that sort of response from drivers and that is why in a year or so we will all be saying remember when you could have bought a GTO for under $1M dollars ?

I"ve got to put my two cents in at this point. My feeling is that no matter how good the TDF is and I've got my own hat in the ring for one . I doubt history will take the view that it belongs on the same stage as the 599 GTO which is fast becoming an iconic Ferrari that has earned its own place in the hearts of many owners and spectators alike. I am confident that the TDF will be a brilliant modified F12 but I believe its long term pricing will suffer because no matter how superb it is. The fact remains that it is what it is. The long term potential of the GTO is in my opinion limitless.
No one will doubt the GTO is a wonderful, special car but I think you are likely to be proven wrong. I think the TDF will be the last front engine extreme NA V12 model from The Prancing Horse. I don't see why this has to be a zero sum game.
I disagree. Its like saying that the Enzo is better than the LaFerrari. Completely different generations between the gto and tdf. Both are stunning cars but you can't beat technological innovation.
