Oh we have a lot of tool threads.

The tools for the Dino 246 are so outrageous they are now making ACCURATE replicas.
Down to the yellow logo shop towel.

It's only a matter of time before the 308s "get there".....
China is so good with things like that!!

They can call India for the wrenches......

I need to dig mine out of the closet and see what's actually there. My tool kit is missing a few items and the roll itself has some mouse damage from a previous owner. The jack kit I have it amazingly pristine though. Once my car is actually gone from the garage I'm going to inventory all the spare parts and tool stuff I have. It's gonna be a big pile of stuff.

I will double the price... :D

It's the same there is on my OEM 308 toolbag, so it's correct. And then we have every Italian snaps so you can ask which you want... ;)

Actually it's pretty cool that you can still find the same snap today that was used more than 30 years ago! :)

maybe they are 30 years old NOS... ;)

Fiocchi was (and still is) a famous cartridge and anmo producer. The Fiocchi snaps came from the brass remnants of munitions production.

That can be a real possibility! Can I have some snaps alone? Just in case a replacement needed ;)

One bag one snap? I think you need two snaps to make it proper plus two more as spares :D

These are the tools that came with my 1979 308GTS that I bought about 6 years ago. I always assumed they were correct, but not sure. I was told one time that the 1979 was a transition year, and they had a mix of old & new tools. ??? But, who cares...it's not going to Pebble Beach, and no one seems to know the exact answers on these tools.

The tool kit looks like a mix. A 328 pouch with only one pocket for the pliers. Carb cars should have older red/orange translucent handled screwdrivers and the darker red/brown ones are for QV mostly. 79 may have Polytools wrenches if not Everest. Spark plug wrench seems a bit thin for 308, but there were variations. They all seem to be original tools.

Battery strap and yellow jack combo looks interesting. This is the first set of such combo I see a picture of, battery strap usual comes with 328. Though it's a debate whether 308 should have it. Yellow jack is correct for 308s up until early QVs, then replaced by black ones.

Thanks Piezo. You are probably right about a mix. I know they are all original parts from what I could find out, and all in perfect condition. Anyone out there who wants to exchange my QV brown/amber screwdrivers for a set of the older orange ones? I bet a lot of owners have some mixed tool sets, and would like to get them original.

I also need an orange flathead screwdriver, the larger one to complete my toolkit. If anyone has a spare one, or knows where I can find one... I would be delighted!
    Thanks

North American cars did not have the Safety Triangle...

I think the carbed 308s also had uninsulated pliers.
That's a nice looking tool set, though.

No oil filter wrench either, but of course you need one!!

Thanks for posting the pictures and info on the toolkits - very informative and interesting.

I take delivery of my 85 Aussie delivered QV soon and I know that it is missing its tool roll so I will joint the hunt for a period correct tool roll.

Looks like a nice kit to me but for following for US 308:
    No triangle.
    No battery strap.
    No oil filter wrench.
Wrenches should say Polytools or Everest, not Ferrari.
Old style insulated pliers look right to me.
    Roll looks ok to me.

Thanks for all the input folks. Maybe the former owner had some items for functionality and not correctness. I've used the oil filter wrench and battery strap, and glad I had them. If I ever sell the car I'll sell those incorrect items first.

    I concur, especially on:
    - the tool roll itself with one single large pocket for the pliers is from a late QV/328.
    - spark plug wrench seem to be one for 12mm plugs, i.e also from a 328s (inside of the crown 18mm) not the one for 308 14mm plugs (inside of the crown 21mm) and besides I am not sure carbed cars had these type of spark plug tools, perhaps the earlier version with a "T" bar

Have to disagree re the plier pocket. Single pocket also found on injected 2 valve and early QV cars.
