Thanks. Yes, at 3,600 original miles, it is quite pristine.

The GTS looks stunning as well.

The interesting part of the story is I'm an offshore powerboat racing fan and know Charlie McCarthy! :)

My 88 when I was bringing it home. Lousy pic. My Merc is behind. I think my 89 pictures are too big not uploading.

I raced in the inaugural Cannonball (finished 3rd) but not in a 928. They hadn't been produced yet. However, I've had at least 1 or 2 in the stable since they rolled off the assembly line. We imported this 1985 928S Euro 5M (330 hp and one of the most desirable 928s) and federalized it at our dealership. Of over 50 cars I've owned, it has been one of my all-time favorites. But alas, too many cars and not enough garage space, so my better half has decreed that it has to go. Send a PM if any interest.

Arrow Blue is one special car! She is in great hands as well.

928s had the most pleasing interior in the business, and are still comfortable and stylish today.

You're welcome! BTW, if I had access to a 928 back in October of 1971 (as Jacques did several years later), we would have left the Gurney/Yates Ferrari Daytona in the dust. Even in a crappy (albeit brand new) driveaway Caddy Sedan DeVille we passed the Daytona in New Mexico and led it into Arizona before they took a route that enabled them to get the Ferrari up to 175 mph. We could have equaled that speed with a 928 and perhaps drove into the history books.

    awesome !
Not to mention a 928 would've needed one fuel stop less than the Daytona :)

Oh great. Another one of my former cars I should have never sold that I have to see on F-chat now. I'm sitting in the car in that picture you posted.

Mr Papa I'm assuming you got it from James in Austin, TX? He was a great caretaker. Finding and then waking this car up from over 2-plus decades of hibernation is one of my all time best life experiences.

Oh yah I saw it on Bring a Trailer last year. The commentary was pure comedy.

3500 Miles: Arrow Blue 1982 Porsche 928 Competition Package | Bring a Trailer

Without a doubt you have the finest 100% original 928 existing on planet Earth. When I hosed off the 1980's dust in 2008 basically a new car emerged.

Yes there was the Excellence 11/08 article which was fun. Also, a 928 club guy came and took a whole slew of pics at my bike shop once upon a time.

    Kiesan,

I thought I saw your name on this forum. I had seen your name on old RL threads before I bought the car and know of your history with the car. I have to agree - it must be the best 928 on the planet, or at least as good as any other. I can't see how a car could get better. I bought it from James Morrison, the former 928 Owners Club president. Best car I ever purchased - dollar for dollar. Thanks for sharing your pics link.
