I have a question for F12 owners, do you use the cameras and lifter? I have an opportunity to purchase a new F12 but it doe not have either option, if I was building one I think I would have both of these options on the car. I have the camera on my 458 and use it so I'm trying to figure out if I would miss it. Your input is greatly appreciated

I have both the camera and the lifter. I have never used either of them.

A few years ago I had a Porsche GT 3 that could not get in or out of my driveway without engaging its lift so when I bought my 458 the lift was among my first priorities. As it turned out, the 458 negotiated that same driveway with room to spare so I have decided not to check this one on my option list when ordering my F 12.

use cameras all the time on my F12. then again, in the tight places in Europe (underground parking/lifts-"elevators"/etc) it really helps; the number of times i have "bumped" the the lift door of the building i live in with the front of my FF (no camera) is ridiculous

I use the nose lift in my F12 and the cameras every day. Could not live without anymore.

I'm in LA, lift is necessary, for that matter everywhere I've ever lived imo it's absolutely necessary

Cameras a nice luxury, I don't have them , I'd prefer to have them

One of my Lambos doesn't have a lift, and it grinds everywhere. It's ok because the damage is done, cosmetic only, since it's a driver it's ok, my f12 is a driver as well, but I'd prefer to avoid the pain the ass not having a lift is.

One last thought on a Diablo and 03 Murci had lifts but not adequate, that sucked too. In 05 the Murci lift added4? Cm iirc and that was a great fix,

Sorry for my grammar, long day in a jet 14 hours.

Best advice is I'd pass on a car with no lift, 95% of the time. If I was stealing it, then sure. Like $20k less than comps.

I paid 332 for a 1000 mile late 14 car a couple months ago, with a lift no cameras. I'm happy, was a fair deal. Not great not bad.

That's all I have, I been driving these kinds of cars for 17 years, to give some here who don't me some insight into my experience

    Best

First 458 and FF we had the lifts, and actually never needed them, and no scrapes....

We also always had the rear camera (not the front) on all the cars - FF, F12, 458.

I lost count of how many times I damn near scraped the front of the F12 on curbs when parking - we sort of have the FF's long nose figured out, but we almost took off the chin spoiler a few times.

We just spec'd another car and I picked the camera - and the lift. My luck will run out so just planning ahead. Of course, these are ridiculously pricey options, and the lift system adds 10kg

Test drove a '12 FF today which was equipped with the lift (according to spec sheet) ... however, I couldn't figure out what to do to actuate it. Where's the button???

Believe it is below the radio/media select button array and in line and across from the glove box button.

Lifter should be standard and not options. On the FF the button is on the left-hand side of the parking brake button

A lifter at a minimum. I could live w/o the camera for the right car.

I have an f12 and a 458 spider and have noticed that the 458 has a better ground clearance. I have the camera on the f12 but never use it. No lift as well, but if I had to do it over again I would go for the lift because I always have to be cautious not to scrape the car (I never have to worry with the 458). I actually scraped the bottom of the front chin spoiler the other day. Thankfully it is not noticeable.

for the lift, It really depends on where you are and where do you go with your car, I have a Panamera which has better ground clearance than Ferrari cars, I still use it very often especially when drive into car parks in Melbourne. Cameras give me more confidence when parking. It depends on how much you rely on it when parking.

The demo F12 didn't have the camera option, I gave it up and ordered a new F12 with both . good luck mate!

Use the lift a lot. Rear camera is a nice to have, but don't really use the front camera much (live in Europe so tight space in car parks/garages)

On the FF the suspension lifter button is left of the steering wheel and located on the lower part of the dash board below the pit speed button and near the electronic parking button.

I used to poo-poo things like these but I've come to appreciate them... I would want the car with both. What makes them "must" items for some will make them "could live without" for others. So it really depends on your situation.

I live in Chicago (flat land) and the lift on the f12 is a must. I use the rear camera especially if backing into parking spaces.

I use the lifter all the time, especially over speed bumps and parking driveways ..

The front camera is very useful to avoid scraping the front spoiler, the rear is a must and it should be no cost option in my opinion.

Unfortunately both options are expensive, but can save you on the long run.

    Good luck to you.

I have just the rear camera on my F12.. wish I had ordered the front camera... the nose is very long and while I have not touched anything, I have gotten out of the car a number of times to make sure of where I sat... I have to say, the rear camera is of poor quality compared to other vehicles I have.. even my F-350 dually has much better clarity and guidance as you back...I passed on the lift and just come in at an angle if questionable... nothing scraped yet..

A lifter is a must in my opinion. There are plenty of driveways and other weird entrances that I don't think I could've navigated even at an angle without scraping and honestly it gives me significant piece of mind not to have to worry when I'm driving to a new location and not sure what the parking situation will be there.
