    Nice job Nico!

Bet Hami lays off whatever substance he injected in Monaco before the next race. Hope he still loses though. :D

Again, I hear you and certainly can't argue your point..... Beyond noting again, it is rare for F1 to deliver a 'cliffhanger'.

It's all too easy to blame Bernie & JT, but they're just doing what the stakeholders want.

It's a lot easier to criticize it than fix it, that's for sure.

Only the Mercs & Ferraris managed to finish the race!........ Reminds me of the 'good old days' with less than a handful going the distance.

At least most of them keep going these days though - I still recall when only a handful were running come the end.

hamilton is such a baby saying that "you can't pass on this track". We saw a lot of great overtaking by others...

Maybe Max could teach Lewis how to pass in Brazil since Lewis said it was not possible for equal cars.

    Forza Seb, Forza Ferrari!

Really good race from Seb and Ferrari and a solid result from Kimi. Ferrari are steadily closing the gap which is a nice way to wind the year up.

Ok race. LH could never get a pass on Nico sorted and worked his tires a bit. Vettel solid.
Hopefully Abu Dhabi will be interesting to end the season.

I was going to let that comment slide, but why should I? ;)

I think we saw more legitimate overtakes this race than we've seen for a while. Into turn 1 always looks 'promising' for example.

I guess Lewis was frustrated whenever he got close and lost all his D/F, but that's hardly a new phenomenon. There's certainly many other tracks on which its *much* harder to pass.

Lauda: Rosberg "better" than Hamilton right now

Lauda: Rosberg "better" than Hamilton right now

"Niki Lauda says two wins on the bounce is proof that Nico Rosberg can match team-mate Lewis Hamilton for outright pace, and that the German is currently the Mercedes team’s best driver."

    Sorry, I couldn't resist ...

Race definitely not a classic, but quite interesting. Read on twitter from plenty english journo's how glad they are that Verstappen is in F1. DC mentioned it multiple times during the race...

Vettel was bloody quick, just about lacking the speed of the Mercs, but quite close. He was on an identical strategy to Rosberg, too. Good stuff and fills me with confidence for next year.

Kimi a decent result, quite a long way back from Vettel but different strategy accounts for some of the time.

Great racy stuff from Perez, the loti and once again verstappen, very entertaining scrap. Nasr getting involved too, great race from him.

Rosberg had the race fully in his control, and how great to see a mopey Hamilton once again. He can't stand being bettered. His calls for a different strategy annoyed me. Due to an escalation last year (I think it was Monaco) the team agreed virtually identical strategies in a race where they are 1-2, with calls for who can pit first switching around each race. And now, only when it suits him he wants it changed. How I hope for his reign to be over, and Rosberg to continue how he's doing. Vettel champ next year, Merc boys to fight it out with Rosberg coming on top...

Well done Nico. I managed to sleep for a while during the race, didn't miss anything, boring as always.

Merc strategy rules are rubbish and Hamilton was right to call it. To force both cars to adopt the same strategy essentially forces the result on tracks like this, Monaco and others, and removes any opportunity for the driver to influence the outcome through the use of his brain. Shame really. Ironically, I think this Merc rule favours Hamilton because Rosberg is clearly the more strategically smart driver and hence would likely benefit more from having more strategic freedom.

F1 Brazilian Grand Prix: Hamilton rues lack of freedom on strategy

F1 News - F1 Brazilian Grand Prix: Hamilton rues lack of freedom on strategy

Lewis Hamilton was left to regret Mercedes' stringent policy on strategy as he trailed team-mate Nico Rosberg across the line at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

They all agreed to their rules, so it ends there. I'm sure it has helped him plenty, too.

Appears LH is complimentary about Nico's efforts. Thats about normal for most drivers complimenting others. Honest enough. Nico is driving well and I hope to see him keep that level into next year and challenge LH. Sport will be better for it.

+1 right there! These 'agreements' cut both ways. Particularly now Lewis has it wrapped up.

Having said that, I am *amazed* that, if the NBC boys are correct anyway, they only have one strategy dude for both jockeys. I may be wrong, and that's the way they do it these days, but I always believed Ferrari, for example, had 'dedicated' guys for each jockey. (Williams too? Not sure about the others?)

    +1

However, I'd personally much rather have Seb and/or Kimi splitting them up!

Brazil's a pretty power hungry circuit too, so I am optimistic they'll be closer next season.

I'm sure the same has been said of Nico over the season too though. Many LH fans have gone as far as to claim he's still being 'coached'......

But again, seriously, I really don't get this 'single strategist for both guys' approach. If one side of the garage is 'smarter' than the other, so be it. Doff the cap and do a better job next time!
