What changed is that Mercedes has already achieved their goal of letting Lewis win it.

So a few races ago (singapore) Mercedes changed some things on the car. Hamilton claims ''he only just found out''.

Does he not pay attention in team meetings?

Love how all the fanbois are saying that LH needs to be able to choose his own strategy. I'll say it again: Merc choose for this after both sides of the garage got butt hurt sometime last year and how everything needs to be equal when they're fighting for position. Both sides of the garage agreed to identical (minus 1 lap) strategy as long as they're not racing others, too. It has helped Hamilton plenty of times, I never heard Rosberg complain about it (and he loves to whinge, too!). This race and the past one, LH tried to defy team orders in order to get ahead, a breach of their agreement, and then obviously complain about it afterwards, and make big statements on the podium that overtaking was not possible here, so his one eyed fanboys would support the messiah for another day, all furious that Elton was not allowed a different strategy.

I'd love to see the speed overlay from Verstappen on Perez, what the speed difference was. The overtake happened on braking and balls, cornering ability of the car has little to do with it at this point. I think Hamilton DRS behind Rosberg (no DRS) was 339kph vs 317.

I disagree and LH compliments to Nico prove it along with LH over driving his tires a bit. It was to me, a fair fight. They had close pace and had Nico been in second, in turbulent air etc he would have found it equally as difficult to pass LH.

Some BBC analysis of Nico's current form

Where has Rosberg improved? - Brazil Grand Prix: Has Rosberg found Hamilton's secret? - BBC Sport

One senior figure in the Mercedes team said the only difference he could see in the data was that Rosberg has improved in the braking phase into the corner.
Nico Rosberg has consolidated second position in the drivers' championship with the win in Brazil

He can tolerate more rear slip on entry than before, which is allowing him to be more aggressive and winning him time from the entry to apex. This is only gaining hundredths, not 10ths. But when there is only 0.08secs between the drivers over a lap, as in Brazil, that could be decisive.

What do the engineers and racing drivers mean by rear slip? It is how close the wheels come to locking during braking.

    +1 exactly.

The HH are back out in force today, wanting it both ways now it seems, it's not team orders when Nico wins, but when Hamilton wins it is...it's laughable.

    Not team orders. Team strategy.

I think verstsppen really needs to work on his qualifying pace if he wants to join merc and challenge Hamilton. I'm not sure of the stats but I think Sainz is out qualifying him more often than not. He has the race pace and can make things happen on a contrary strategy. But if he were to join merc he wouldn't get a contrary strategy and would always be stuck behind Hamilton (that's if he turns out to be on his level and able to threaten with his race pace anyway)

Wrong, it is exactly the other way round as you want to tell us because of "kart results when they were 15"...You guys (and Hamiton) complain about the equal strategy that was fine for you as long as it helped Hamilton and now you put down Rosbergs win to "the team helping him to get 2nd in the WDC"...So the question is who actually is the hater over here?

Rosberg won Qualy, Rosberg won the race to turn one and Rosberg kept Hamilton out of DRS most of the time making no mistake. But still you guys behave like it is undeserved...Even if Hamilton would have been able to drive a little bit faster, who said that Rosberg could not do either if needed???

You still haven't answered my question.

And please do not tell lies, find a post where I have put down Nico as a bad driver.

Who cares who was faster in the kart??? As far as I remember they start races new every second week to find out who is fastest this weekend instead of releasing the result upfront based on ancient kart results. So what is your point???

Ok for the last time, since you seem to be a master of avoiding a direct question maybe you should try a career in politics.

Who in your opinion is the overall faster driver between the two of them, and why shouldn't Merc choose to back either one of that said driver, to achieve the results they have.

In the last two years both drivers were faster than everybody else so why is there a need to back one of them? And you told us that Hamilton never had the no.1 status in the team only now to defend why he had??? And all that based on pre-F1 history? Rosberg and Hamilton are pretty close in speed and at the moment Nico might have his head right to even win...and to answer your question: Hamilton might have been faster in the past in kart but it did not help him getting pole against his teammate.

I think you should be wording the question, Who is the more consistent driver?

Rosberg has shown on many occasions he is faster than LH and Lewis has on many occasions been faster than Nico, but LH is (in my opinion) a more consistent driver. So the question is really if you had to choose between Nico or Lewis who would you have drive your car?

If I only had one car to field in a race and Nico or Lewis were the two drivers I had to choose from, it would be Lewis driving my car. Period

Ok, as you are a fan of straight questions: do you think that Mercedes backed Hamilton to get the results they wanted because they thought he is the faster driver?

Answer: they are not far apart as one could see over 3 years now. Rosberg is mentally weaker and lost it more often but if he gets it right he can be even. Might not be what you wanted to hear but it is my answer. And I do not care about kart results because back then Frentzen was even with Schumacher and we all know who is 7 times WDC and who not.
Now I am waiting for your answer...
