All RWD should be Balboni or Gandini or Dallara etc . editions . Paying homage to the "masters" .

Surprised so little interest here in this car. They should leave awd to audi r8. Electronics should be enough to keep lambos out of the weeds now. Interesting to see how this car with na v10 will compare to 488tt with extra 100 hp

Curious about that as well, but they did appear to cut the cost by a decent margin.

Around $30-40,000 cheaper? Almost seems like a better deal if the car produces lap times near its AWD sister.

I like the principle behind it, but the front bumper looks like a marginal mock up vs the original/4WD version, and the power drop is regrettable.

I don't go for the front look either, but do any of you believe you'd really notice a 5 percent difference in power output at peak RPM?

I have a 2WD Gallardo (Balboni). It too is less powerful than its 4WD counterpart (by 20 bhp I think). I suspect it is either marketing (then yes, regretable) or they tune the power delivery a bit differently for the 2WD car to make it more stable under acceleration.

I'm also guessing the motor degrades by that amount or more with mileage. What's 4-5% power difference worth on say a 80-100mph WOT test? Little enough that I think we'd need a machine to measure. Our race motors would drop 2-3 percent over a few races. Temperature humidity etc made more difference to lap times.

A retune of the car will get it to 610. It's a marketing gimmick since the -2 costs less than the -4.

I am very happy to see a 2WD new Lambo.

So the verdict is that it's a bit better, but there is still a ways to go before they get it just right. We'll have to wait for the superleggera.

Looks to be convoluted marketing ploy to attract more sales of a cheaper car. Even Lamborghini can't escape the realities of the volume equation. Boutique brands like Ferrari and Lamborghini constantly brawl to steal each other's share of the $$$,$$$.
Yes I agree that a possible Superleggera type car will be the first genuine performance upgrade, and I bet many are waiting in the shadows for that beast!

Lambos are never going to be the track star. Its not what they're about. Gallardo sl was a wierdo for lambo. Huracan has the engine, looks and sound to be a success for what it is. An outrageous street exotic.
