I suggest not to touch it. Not giving info is IMO a huge RED flag. Some parts mentioned are horrible to find and you will pay the price for it. Leaving a Mondial earlier then '87 outside means rust if not holes. An '87 and high can withstand moisture better as it has been galvanized (not sure about the english word) but still I would put it inside :)

ouch! Picture are so misleading :) But I need to say my pods lined up fine. Took them out for servicing the ball joints and one is actually not lining up anymore and is not leveled with the bonnet anymore. I left it as I will be painting the lady soon :D

Looking at what has been done I think you have a fair price here. However, 120K is a lot KMs. On the other hand a car that has been driven reguraly is usually in better condition then one that is rarely used. Petrol cars in general need a head revision between 150K-200K in KMs. There are exception in both directions though.

It seems that this Mondial has Replica 16" wheels looking at the tire. Money saver on TRX tyres, but for the purist a horrible choice. Not sure about the top if it is OEM. It looks good.

I think I would buy it if I like light colored leather. However never without hearing and driving it :)

Looks very nice! GLWS! My only problem is that they put the steering wheel on the wrong side of the car. JMHO!

120K is indeed a lot of km, but Australia is a big country... Is like we would have 50K km in Europe :)

I don't think 120km is all that much. I bought my 85 with 65k miles on it, and so far, after almost a year, I'm very happy with the reliability and performance.

120km is about 75k miles. just 10k more than mine. I think a well maintained car that has been driven consistently would be a very good acquisition. I wouldn't be afraid of this at all.

The blue Mondial went to its new home today. The buyer drove it home and seems to be very pleased with his purchase.

I think I may keep the black '88. Even though the car has never been wrecked as far as I or anyone else can tell, the salvage title has people nervous.

Where else can you get a rare Enzo era Ferrari with tons of records going back over 20 years and a recent engine out major+ service by a well respected shop for under $30k?

Oh well. Time to plan another 1000 mile trip :)

That black turbocharged cab that sold on ebay two months ago out of TX for $15K was offered at Mecum Anaheim by a seller from AZ judging by the plates. Don't know if it sold but I see it advertised on some shady classified sites now for $56K "serviced by Norwood" and in "immaculate condition", seller location MI but the car is still in AZ according to the lady who answered the phone (she didn't even know the color and had to look it up) so I doubt the genuineness of this ad. Norwood hasn't seen the car in 15 years. I don't know if it now runs and drives, it didn't when it was in TX. In any case you can't legally register such a car anywhere in the USA and if the Feds feel like it they can make you put it back to stock or worse.

Was watching MECUM last night (Anaheim) and lo and behold black "Norwood turbo" cabriolet sold for $22K which is about $7K more than it fetched on ebay a couple of months ago, but it was well presented and MECUM omitted the part about the car not running so it's either been put back into running condition or they finessed that one. They also stated in their auction catalog that it was "Serviced by Norwood" which may be true but also a lie because Norwood hasn't seen the car for 15 years.

Would not be surprised to see it come up again on Ebay in the near future, as the buyer is going to find out he has a track car that may have some "issues".

    That's a great price for a 3.2 if the engine isn't damaged

Indeed it is :) two things I would do before buying it. Pull the spark plugs to see the condition and when they are out anyway making sure the engine can do a full turn.
