Interested that you have your shields in CF, I tried to have my Aperta shields done in blue CF as all my CF is blue inside and out but the atelier wouldn't do it. Where did you get yours?
I like this thread and believe there are many other triple layer paints that are not often used on Ferrari's. The ONLY way to get a full understanding of the optional paints is to visit Tailor Made at the factory. I've been told that there's a triple layer blue which I'm VERY VERY interested in seeing for my new TDF, BUT I've had no luck in getting the specific name of this TL blue. The closest I've come was Blue Strato "Elana" or "Helana" but Google has not yielded any images under those names. That name came from an Italian lady working at Tailor Made and communicated to me from a dear Bosnian friend however Im pretty sure the name was bastardized in the communication process. Therefore, I know for an absolute fact that there does exist a blue triple layer paint BUT I don;t know the specific name. If any of you can assist me on this mission objective I would be greatly appreciative and I'll throw in a "reasonable" party prize for the one who provides me what I'm looking for. Good luck & Cheers!
Here are a few pics of my Rosso Fuoco GTO which also happens to be for sale at the current time. These pics are in a controlled lighting environment and I'll post other pics as well. When the link is opened you can enlargen the pictures by clicking on any image and scroll thru the pics. 2011 Ferrari 599 GTO Base Washington DC VA | Silver Spring MD Arlington Rockville MD Virginia ZFF70RCA1B0179533
If you can wait until February when I visit Tailor Made I can tell you, but I doubt that will help your angst for info now. A backstop anyway.

Another two pics of the GTO Rosso Fuoco Triple Layer in sunlight. The paint was an approx $25K upgrade. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
My 599 GTO in Bianco Italia. This paint was a pleasant surprise in that it was more of a white/silver triple layer and not as beige as the Bianco Fuji. In addition to having a deep paint it often times looked like a matte finish as well. The beauty of most TL paints is that they have multiple looking finishes throughout the day/night, indoor/outdoor. Also attached is a STUNNING LaFerrari in Bianco Italia which I saw at the US Ferrari Cavalcade last August. My iPhone pics do not serve this car's beauty whatsoever. I think it s this one : Ferrari ups its exclusivity in the Middle East | The National http://vavavoom.fr/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/Ferrari-FF-Taylor-Made-2.jpg
thank you and i read an article about 5 ff created based on countries and this was UAE inspired. i think it looks "nice" but a tad too dark for my liking. I still hope to see Blue Strato Helena. "The Ferrari Zaffiro FF built for the UAE features an exclusive, dark-blue, three-layer paint colour not available on any other Ferrari. The colour is designed to represent the waters of the Gulf and is offset by asymmetric white GT stripes stretching its full length."
At this point you're in and seeming that Blu America (proper 3-layer) is too dark for you I think, you really should contact Ferrari directly, Atelier or Tailor made or whoever. You are a good customer and I see no reason why they wouldn't quickly answer to your question about the 3-layer blues available from them. Then again bear in mind you can always create your custom shade, expensive as it may be. BTW did you check Blu California (?) introduced with the California T? Too light for you? Was it actually a 3-layer?
I believe so, yes. The Nart and Silverstone are both metallic and have the triple layer look but the metallic is in the base color so technically not triple layer. The bianco italia has a white base, peril, then a clear.
You can order any color in a triple layer, the factory is happy to oblige. They will Fed-Ex you color samples until you get exactly what you are looking for. I almost went with a custom grigio but Anna convinced me that I'd be happier with Silverstone (she was right).
How can you verify a triple layer car? I have a 2007 in Rosso Monza that is like nothing I have ever seen. The sticker shows $27k of "other options" which is as far as I can tell- mostly toward the paint, as most of the other high ticket options are called out. The build sheet says "extra campionaro' for the exterior color. Can anyone help or do I need dealer input? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
If you look at the Ferrari paint code on the underside of the hood, it should tell you there Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just checked and it does not- bummer. Is that an absolute? If it is- then I would sure love to know where those $27k of goodies are hidden
Pardon my ignorance but what's the difference between Rosso F1 2007 and Nuevo Rosso F1 scuderia? Thanks
No, it isn't an absolute. My Scuderia is Nuovo Grigio Ingrid, and it doesn't mention triple layer on the sticker. I checked it at the paint shop when we checked the code for the paint, it is mentioned in the system as a triple layer paint.
