T-Bar spark plug tool, for carbed cars and some early 2-Valve injected; superseeded later by the pair "14/14 combination wrench + spark plug tool".

For later ones I say about 220-250 reasonably cuz it's rare.

For early Tommy bar ones it'll be more than that, I guess 300, cuz it's even rarer. Haven't seen one in the open market for a long while.

It sounds a lot, but the supply is really scarce.

 

Steve, your prices are reasonnable but some are asking much more than that.

 

Much depends on your timing: if you absolutely need "a something" immediately, usually you have to pay what the only seller in the game is asking on the day you are looking.
But should you be ready to wait, from time to time some nice deals are still to be found. Of course, for some tools you will have to wait for months, even years...

It fits a spark plug with a 13/16" hex drive.

 

I wrote it about a thousand times, but:

Crown of the spark plug tool is:
21mm for 308 plugs, which are 14mm;
18mm for 328 plugs, which are 12mm.
Yours seems definitively a 308 spark plug tool...

(And a footnote for Italy: The Turbo cars all have the 2-valve engine, even the "Turbo Intercooler" which is contemporary of the 328, so all "Turbos" need a 308 spark plug tool)

 

Yes it's the EARLY 308 spark plug wrench...

Definately worth "something" as one sold last week in our ads with no price ever mentioned.

It only fits the old spark plugs of course, at some point they went smaller, (QV maybe??) so the tool changed.

I would toss out an offer, but there's already blood in the water!!

I am putting some early tools together for long time 308 chatters, if you want to send that spark plug wrench my way.

I am trying to keep it from getting crazy, on the price.

 

I would price the trouble light at $300.

For that I use a magnetic LED pen light, stuck on the engine lid.

Technology has passed that original unit by...

 

As you note the under dash socket changed on the trouble light too, so there's an "early and late" on that item..

 

Some sellers are really getting crazy these days with 3x8 tools or luggage, so the answer is: anyone's guess. There is a tool roll that has been for sale from Italy on E-bay for a few weeks for $750 which I think is absurd.

But our fellow F-Chatter Alberto in Italy has brand new 328 tool rolls manufactured exactly on original specs, dimensions, material, even original Fiocchi rivets and snaps...for about $200.

Of course it depends for what car this roll is, there has been a few different patterns, notably for the pliers' pocket(s).

Tool roll is for cars up to the late production QVs:
it has the two smaller pockets just at the left of the spark-plug tool pocket (which spark-plug tool pocket is the last one at right) for the "smaller handle" pliers.
Late production QVs and 328s had the "larger handle" pliers, with bigger plastic sheaths on the handles, so needed one single large pocket for the pliers, instead of two.

I could use that cover also, as the one with #22127 came to me damaged...there's a piece cut out of the edge!!

I guess I should have these rusty Everest wrenches replated!!

 

Wish I could swing getting the light from you. I am missing that and a screwdriver, but am not sure if the light would have really come with my 85 QV??
