I got one too - a few weeks after I got the real thing. Sitting on a shelf to the right of my desk, where I spend 12 hours a day. Always nice to look over at it when I'm not sitting in the real thing. Especially during the cold winter months.

I have the Amalgam model of my car, it is correct to the finest details (this is a photo of work in progress, some details not yet correct). I am working on moving house; when I have a bigger office the model will find pride of place there.

A month or two ago, we did a fun photo shoot with 3 owners, all of whom have the Amalgam model custom painted for their car, it was fun to see the 1/8ths with their bigger sisters. Unfortunately I don't have the pics on my laptop and I'm abroad for a while.

Ironically I have some model cars in my office, none of which I own... including a Carrera GT...

Same with my model cars at home. F40, 288 GTO, 997 GT3RS, and a Gallardo Super Trofeo. Every one of them was a gift at one point or another, going back to 1984.

I have dozens of 1/18 models on shelves around top of the office. I have never been able to find a black on black like my 328 but have black w/ tan in a special place on my book shelf. The other cars are simply those I'd love to own, have owned, or have ridden in - ranging from a 62 250GTO to a BTTF DeLorean.

I'm surprised that nobody commented yet, your model looks AMAZING!!!
It must have cost a fortune though. I love the color combo, and the detail. Do you have any pics next to the real thing?

+1 amazing quality! Looked at their website briefly, looks like most of their models are around $5-7k? Lot of $ but it's basically a piece of fine art. Beautiful.

Office? No, don't have one of those. I spend my days on a dynamometer.

I have however owned a model of a 250 GTO with 'Prova' plates since I was a child. While the model is not with me daily as a reminder, the memory of it has always stayed with me.

I always wanted to get myself the gated shifter paperweight but never did. Maybe I will get one for myself this year for a Christmas present. I don't have any Ferrari stuff in my work office it is all at home, the only motorhead item I have is a poster of a Yamaha sx viper on the wall that a co-worker gave me.

In my son's room (he's moved on) All red models of: F1 641/2 (Prost), P4, GTO seriesII, F-40, 348, Testarossa. And in the garage, 1987 TR. When my grandsons(4) get older I said they could have them. One day at the dinner table with them all, my 7 year old grandson mentioned about me giving them the models. My son says way to go boy, I get the real one! LOL
