I kinda miss the smurf blue interior...the yellow-contrast stitched dash & seats don't seem to match up w the rest of the cabin interior which is nero stitching with a more grayish nero alcantara...I also remember hearing from the grapevine that this one ran off the road once upon a time and sustained quite a bit of damage?

So, so beautiful. Stunning. TdF blu always looks beautiful on any Ferrari.

You're right. Smurf blue interior was looking sooo good.

Ya, same here. I really liked that (aftermarket?) blue alcantara interior in combination with the TdF exterior.

This car has been discussed many times on this forum before and from what I've heard/read, the damage wasn't that bad (front and rear bumper replaced).

I almost bought that car. The 2 tone blue alcantara was brilliant. So was the Capristo level 3! I didn't like the aftermarket wheels, but that was an easy fix.

Yes, this is a real CS. But it's not in the registry yet so I don't have further info.

Here's another CS with sunroof. This is a very interesting car with other unique specs (interior and no shields)

    how great can you be!!!!
    ah haha

" red calipers, factory sunroof, believed to 1 of 2 cars with a factory sunroof, this CS used to be in Milano Italy on italian plates CM 360SC "

so the other "sunroof CS" should be the one I posted just now?

so 2 in 1288 CS have sunroof. With that rate, worldwide about 10000 modenas should give about 16 modenas with sunroof, is that about right?

Well, in theory there can be more than 2 Stradales with sunroof. But these 2 cars are the only ones I've ever seen. I doubt there's many more than that.

And there are 72 Modena's with sunroof in the f-register.com vin database. Not all cars are listed in this database though and it's far from complete/correct.

wasn't the white sunroof car sold to northern countries a couple years ago? I remember looking at it, and missing it...I think it had then sold/gone to Denmark or Sweden

Before I bought my sunroof 360, I thought it was a sought-after feature, although I didn't buy the car because of its "sought-afterness".

after reading people's comments here and there, it looks like it isn't, which kinda surprised me.

I bought the Bianco Avus Stradale with sunroof a few years back and still enjoy it. When it came up for sale, I was actually not even aware that it was an option on the 360 as I had never seen it. From a practical standpoint I can see why it is not sought-after as it is a bit of a hassle to remove and store the roof panel on a standard 360, but I can ASSURE you that it is an even bigger hassle on a CS where you can't tilt the seat forward - and where you are furthermore obstructed by a rollcage. :)

(for those that have never seen a 360 with sunroof, the roof panel stores behind the seats)

The sunroof was never an official option on the CS, but obviously a few customers managed to pursuade the factory. Mike and I have discussed the car on several occasions, and it seems like there is only this one and the red one in Switzerland (mentioned a few posts earlier) which we haven't been able to track down the VIN# for.

To me, I primarily care about the uniqueness - it's something that you don't see everyday and it always sparks a good conversation.

    Have a great day!

So, are we going to add value for a CS with sunroof due to "rarity" even though a sunroof in a CS is sacrilege ?

I never really got why it should be sacrilege. If it was a full targa panel it would take away structural rigidity, but it isn't. The added weight consists of a rubber seal and a (really) simple closing mechanism, so no real sacrilege there. Having standard windows as opposed to lexan could also be sacrilege, but it just makes the car more versatile (and more useful at McDonalds) :)

But probably just as many opinions as there are cars - that's what add to the enjoyment of so many users, so no right or wrong here.

I don't believe that there were people who wanted sunroof on their Stradales.

To me, that makes just as much sense as saying there were no people who wanted a Scuderia convertible. Feel free to blend in on loss of structural rigidity and sacrilege there.

Just saying that there are different tastes to different people. The sunroof was not an official option for the CS, so it's a bit hard to claim statistical documentation on the demand part.

Good to see you here Michael :)

You have 2 of the most unique Stradales. A Cornes CS and this Bianco Avus CS with it's unique specs. What's not to like about a CS with sunroof?! It would be the perfect car to drive hard in the mountains and enjoy that beautiful sound even more.

In case I take off my modena's sunroof, I always put it into the front trunk.

    It's safer there.

Mike , do you happen to know when the new stradale was newly delivered, were there any protection films applied on the car and where were they applied?

I have PM'ed a (not so active) member here who will probably know the answer to your question. He goes to Maranello every year to 'spot' customer cars there. Pretty big chance he has photos of the CS in 2003/2004 with the protection foil. Let's hope he wants to share a couple of pics :)
