Nice video...I really love this track!!! I'm sure he was VERY leery of going off-roading in someone else's million dollar+ supercar. Maybe he was referring to the press cars...J/K
It's called the thermal club. The Thermal Club | Private Pavement® - THE THERMAL CLUB | HOME | ®PRIVATE PAVEMENT | LUXURY MOTORSPORTS RACEWAY
besides the cars all being beautifully maintained, there is nothing special about this video. generic commentary on driving experiences that resemble everything we have heard/known about these cars, not to mention how awfully boring his test driving is..personally i have a hard time listening to him talks, the way he is trying to stuff every second of his dialogue with expression of excitement is just over the top corny. just to throw in a few trendy video editing tricks ( like those flickering transitioning crap) and this guy is a hollywood producer!
WTF! One should really think twice about gathering all these cars and producing a video like this. In stead of giving him a thumbs up for a free video, you are tearing this guy a new one.... Lost for words - disgraceful are the only that comes to mind.....
Imagine if David had done his own commentary 😂😂. It would make Alejandro sound like Morgan Freeman.
hi alejandro, you are completely right about those who want to produce stuff like this should think twice, especially the substance/content. personally i am unimpressed with the video overall and it is not like i haven't seen these cars in real life. if money is an issue he (you?) should make this a pay to subscribe kind of video. some youtubers make a living (rather lucrative) off publishing videos with ads on it, and unsurprisingly this video also has ad on it, not to mention the potential sponsorships if the channel becomes popular. obviously by making this the dude is trying to gather more following in social media (or whatever reason behind it that he has to cry about it), so don't act like he is doing the world a charity as i see this video as totally unnecessary. sorry that your own version of top gear didn't work. f
The first thing I noticed. Not wanting to concur with any negative remarks, I will say that watching this video only served to underscore why Chris Harris is so damned good at what he does.
I can't be the only one annoyed with the american V8 soundtrack overlay at several outboard shots, right? It makes zero sense.
That was the first thing that came to mind when I watched the video. The premise here is truly epic... gather all five Ferrari supercars together and have a blast. This video was a good effort, but ultimately the video falls flat. Here is how it is done: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MDTcXGsjuo As we can see, merely driving the cars around the circuit with some quick cuts and drone footage isn't the entirety of the formula. There is some special sauce that Harris and Clarkson/Williams (Evo too, actually) have developed over the years. The right driving, commentary and cinematography are needed in addition to the cars themselves.
Hopefully part 2 will have something in it instead of him just driving slowly around a track (could have been shot in a carpark). I like the previous test he conducted and some of his other videos like his huayra etc.
This is truly ridiculous and just getting worse. He specially puts on driving gloves to loiter round the track claiming how great the cars feel, how they are not intimidating etc etc. How can you get a clue for how these cars behave at this speed. Pretty to see the cars all together but an utterly pointless exercise by someone who is as qualified to comment on cars as I am on neurosurgery.
well beware that some one is gonna complain about your ungratefulness, since these videos are free and it costs money to make, and this guy is obviously doing humanity a huge favor!!! ;-)
I was quite excited seeing behind the scene IG photos prior to the release of the videos. All credit to him and production team for pulling this together; but like others have said, the video was utterly boring and pointless. And like Joe said, it really makes you appreciate how great of a journalist Chris Harris is especially when I happened to watch the "Ferrari's Big 5" clips right after Harris's LaF/918/P1 clip.
Agreed. It's like setting up a Victoria Secret runway and the girls come out in track suits and flip flops. Better than nothing but nowhere near expressing the full potential.
this has to go down as one of the most exciting collection of cars for a shoot that ended up being boring as hell... i literally fast forwarded the last 4-5 mins.... Disappointment doesnt even begin to describe this...
I'm in agreement with most here, these videos were some of the biggest wasted opportunities in car film making history. Hire a real driver, hell fly Chris freaking Harris in and let him drive the cars correctly. I'm convinced Alejandro must have won the lottery (not that I'd hate on someone for that). Reason being is, if someone was successful enough as a Hollywood producer to be able to afford the toys he has, they'd realize how to deliver a much better video than this. There is just no point to it these videos at all. At least if Michael Bay produced these videos there would be explosions and Meghan Fox.....
