    Hi Guys,
    I am happy to say that I am a new Mondial owner. I just purchased a 85 cab with 22k miles. The car has the original paint and interior. I plan on doing the engine out service and having my mechanic do a once over to make it ready to enjoy. I am in southern California and would love to find someone with the same year to compare a few things. For instance, I am sure you all know this but my bumpers are painted in high gloss black and was told they should be a more matte finish?? If anyone knows someone with the same year, Rosso over tan, I would love to meet them.

    Congrats! And yes, you're correct. Bumpers should be a matte plastic/rubber, not painted.

    I also have an 85 Mondial QV- same color and interior. Purchased with 21,000 miles five years ago and now have about 39,000 miles on it.

    Im in Simi there are a few of us around the LA area but mondi sightings are rare in the wild!

    The color you want for the bumper is : SEM 39103 Flexible Bumper Coater its available at car paint supply shops and some part stores

    Hummm beginning to think that we should have a Mondi tech day in the LA area!

    Congratulations!! We love ours...an '84 that looks identical. Our bumpers are also smooth and shiny but I don't mind cuz they are easier to dust. Lol

    I am pretty excited about it. Just scared to drive it until the belt service has been done. Can you send me some photos of yours? Also can you do a few close ups of your bumpers, I want to see how they are supposed to look. Too bad you are in Austin, it would be fun to meet up.
