Thank you Victor, I have that publication also. I believe 0034 is still here in the USA in Florida, in another color.

    This is for Peter K.

I think this is your Countach LP400 S #1121006 in 1979 in Geneva, Switzerland.

Note the temporary Geneva 'Z' plate... This would match with the known fact this car would be soon exported and/or the (Saudi) owner is living temporarily in Geneva.

    Great find victor!
BTW there is a difference between the Z-Plates und those which has simply a month mentioned, those mentioned only a month are time limited plates till end of the that month, often used on #1121334 owned by the german owner from würselen, who had the car always registred through Max Bobnar where he bought the car.
My knowledge is that numbers with Z at the end are such where the car was not officially imported (form 1320) and registred, often the case when a foreign owner bought the car with the intention to export it, like the EE-plates of Italy.
In the eighties were a number of german cars registred like this, you can see them on Iloc Meeting pictures of that period.

German Z plates were cars registered in the name of an stranger but the car still bearing german documents, destined for export during maximum 12 months only. The form of the plate was oval.

A friend with american/german double citizenship used this solution (utilizating his american passport and "forgetting" his german passport) on a new Beetle Convertible (produced in the last batch, white with white leather, beautiful) for 12 months exactly, afterwords he needed to pay the german VAT or export it.

Maybe I wrote it in a wrong way round, a lot of german owners had their countach registred in Switzerland with swiss Z-plates.

    Raymond: many thanks.

Here we see such an oval shaped german export plate issued by HZA Stuttgart West (HZA = Hauptzollamt = Main customs office) in charge for Boeblingen, thus for cars exported directly by the customer himself from the MB factory.

note: Sorry no Countie here with such an oval plate, just this W116 6.9 with US bumpers.

Nice car. Thanks. Iranian owner. He had the car in Swiss until '79. So, yes, getting ready to export.
That blue looks more like the current color. But too dark to be the Saudi Tahiti car.

Peter, according to the production list your car was finished in Acapulco Blue (Met), not Tahiti blue.
#1121016 was produced in Tahiti blue /Champagne and went to Rome.
Next swiss blue car would be #1121028 also in Blue Met (mentioned without Acapulco) but with White Hide which doesn't suite the picture.
Then next swiss blue car was the pace car 1121244 with blue notte in 1980.

Lambocars666 had stated the Saudi owner. IIRC, the Saudi car was Tahiti.

Actually, 1121016 (and 1121014) both came directly to the USA.

S.E.A Automobili di Roma was simply used by Steve Dypvik for submitting his order via Ubaldo Sgarzi.

Neither car ever went to Rome. Their trips were from San't Agata to Frankfurt by road, then by air to LAX.

So every car for export market had around 900 delivery kilometers on the odometer?
Why we have some 25th with less than 500km available today? ;)

Nobody said they did not remove the odometer joint...
25th were delivered differently, they went directly to US importer, the way described with Trefor Thomas and Jas Rarwalla was in the early eighties when they imported these case in homeopathically doses on their own.

Great guy, he has some great stories, he told me what it was like ordering a new Countach from Hubert Hahne! His brother Fred Johl, also a Countach owner lives part-time in the USA.

25th Anniversario were shipped in a conventional new-car shipping method via transporters. They had just over 100 test kilometers on the clock at point of delivery to new-car dealers. A friend or mine purchased a new 25th Anniversario in 1990 (Bianco Perlato/Blue) and he still has it. It had 135km on the clock when I inspected this car recently.
