Sounds like the same one I saw up there a while back. I think it might be some sort of taxi because of the plate.
On a road trip down last weekend to the Florida Springs for some Scuba diving, saw a Beautiful Black (probably just washed) California. Deiger
I think that F12 was at Motori Italiani. Today, in Cary, saw a white 991 Porsche 911 GT3 at the Prestonwood Country Club at about 3:15. This makes the sixth different GT series Porsche I've seen in the Raleigh/Cary area in the past month and a half.
Tonight (Tuesday), was driving my 458 in Carrboro, turning onto 54 coming out of the Old NC 86 - another 458 turned right on the 54 North bound....
Happy Thanksgiving everybody! I've got a couple recent sightings for you all. Yesterday morning silver Ferrari 360 on Monroe Road in Charlotte. Looked like an SC tagged car. I don't think I've seen this one before. Looked good. This morning I saw a silver Mercedes 300SL on Rea Road in Charlotte. First one I've ever seen. Honestly, I was pretty surprised to see one out and about. Anyone know anything about this car? I'd love to see it again sometime, it was so cool.
On Saturday, in Charlotte: Audi R8 with an outlandish gold wrap and black Forgiato wheels at the Southpark Mall behind a Ghost and a GT-R at 6:00 I think. Orange Lamborghini Huracan at Sharon and Fairview at 7:30 or so. Black Mercedes-Maybach S600 at Del Frisco's at 9:15 or so. Valet said it was driven by Felix Sabates. Also saw a couple other R8s and a ton of Quattroportes that evening.
Seen a 959 around Chapel Hill twice this year... Once at the Harris Teeter parking lot off of exit 266 on I40, and the second time just last week on Dairyland Rd. It's the real deal. Gorgeous car. Photo from this summer. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Isn't the other one red? It's also crazy that we have 3 Porsche Carrera GT's in the Triangle. Taggart Autosport in Cary currently has a 918 Spyder and 3 new 911 GT3 RS for sale.
During the summer, I had emailed the head of the Triangle Area's Porsche Club of America, and he said we have three in the Triangle.
Was just thinking the same thing. It's always fascinated me how Charlotte has more exotics, but the ones in the Triangle are just better. We've got, what...two or three 918 Spyders (possibly more depending on where the latest 918 went), two P1s, a couple Mercedes Black Series cars, the Carrera GTs and 959s, plus those super rare Jag XKR-S GT and Viper TA models, and I think maybe a BMW M1? If we only had a couple of the celebration Ferraris like the F40, F50, etc...we'd be set.
Really? Wow! I heard a long time ago that we used to have an F40, but that the owner sold it and got a Carrera GT.
Yesterday at about 4:30 in Cary, caught a glimpse from US 64 of an orange Lotus sitting among all those Hyundais parked at the MacGregor plaza. Think it was an Elise because I've seen a couple orange ones in the area, but I didn't get a good enough look at it to tell for sure.
This is a rare sighting for us and we are blessed to have it in our shop for a tune! Beautiful rolling vintage art in pristine condition and driven! Peter Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That white late-model Gallardo Spyder was parked on Glenwood Ave in front of Alchemy again this afternoon at about 4:40.
On Sunday morning, en route to Charlotte, saw a white Lotus Evora heading east on US 64. Hadn't seen one of those in a while so it was cool to see. The Brits might not get the fine details right, but man, they sure know how to design a car. Also saw a grey GT-R in Cary on Tryon Rd and a silver GranTurismo at a Walmart in Siler City (of all places).
