I wrote Saudi in brackets and forgot the question mark... I read somewhere that your car #1121006 was delivered in Geneva for a member of the Saudi Arabian Royal family. Maybe it is a mistake...? Thanks for correcting it used to belong to an Iranian owner!
many thanks for sharing: really enjoyed, especially this: *I even know a person who was a passenger in it and complained that it was very noisy, uncomfortable and hot - this was obviously a woman...* Ben Image Unavailable, Please Login
That was originally thought. But thanks to the internet and folks here, that got sorted out. Now the Saudi and Iranian cars have been well documented! BTW, where did you obtain that photo?
Good share Raymond. A pity the factory were not more appreciative of your efforts. After all, you could have bid for the car yourself. Were you tempted? I know I would have been. R
It was on this 12x12cm card. At the back of it, there is a brief story of the Countach written in French. The copyright says: Photo P.-Y. Dhinaut 1979, Edito-Service S.A., Genève Printed in Italy Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Whoops - yes, I completely missed that! Sorry... I think my excuse is that my mind was blown (yet again), by the colour
I see that the 5000s from South Africa via Valentino / Italy is up for sale. Strong money, around 3000 miles. Good luck to the seller!
Joe, do you have other Pictures or Info than this? #145, 24.10.1977, SEA Roma, since the Picture posted in not #1120290. Means also this assumption is not correct, it's 256,124 and 256 again: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/139034646-post3799.html
John Collins and Nero/Bianco Countach LP500S with man's best friend. Should he let him in the car? Image Unavailable, Please Login
#1121090 produced for Fred Johl was registred in Switzerland with GR-1332-Z 1981/1982 I found a Picture of crashed #1121012 of Armin Johl inside the Factory in the Iloc Magazine 2/1982.
Here we go. Valentino did his best to save it, but in the end there wasn't a straight panel on the entire car. A Countach crash-&-burn story. Image Unavailable, Please Login
How about #1120246 'Blu Metallizzato - Bianco': Delivered to French importer Thépenier, on February 10th 1977. Does anybody here know about it? From what I have seen of #1120256, it has chromed window cranks... while this blue/white LP400 pictured in front of the Lamborghini factory got the black ones. [Uploads: Photos 1 & 2 = unidentified LP400 (maybe #1120092 or #1120134 or #1120246 or #1120284) -- Photo 3 = #1120256] Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
