    Just a stab in the dark - a buddy of mine has been approached with an opportunity to buy this 86 cabrio at a price that's almost too good to be true.

    By any chance does anyone recognize the number?

    That was überlink's car, an f chatter. Sold to a a guy in Italy I thought a few months ago. You'll find the sales thread on here. Went for high 30's... On that basis I'd definitely want to see the car in person before giving a deposit!!!

    ... Because the car should be in Italy, the original poster is in the US and unless something disasterous has happened to it, it shouldn't be available on the cheap. Looked like a scam to me... Hence my comment - But I could be wrong obviously. A pm to überlink should clarify.

    I agree with the info provided things don't make sense, was ubers car, was sold here or on ebay, but now back for sale at "bargain price". Yet the OP of this thread is a long time member and I sold him a set of wheels a few years back so he is for real too. Would be interesting to get the whole scoop
