I have a 76 930 that was featured in the Sept 2013 Panorama magazine. The car is all original, runs excellent, looks great with 62xxx miles. I have all records back to new on this 3 owner car.

With our local economy on the cusp of a nuclear meltdown, I have made the difficult decision to part with this car. I am looking for offers on $310k.

Beat way to contact me is email ssherman (a) trican dot ca

The first photo shows the car being unloaded from the plane at YYC in February 1976. The other photos were taken by Bruce Holder in Sept 2015.

I considered buying this car about four years ago and passed on it because of the structural damage and bondo. The paint and panel fit is definitely not original. Any potential buyer should have it closely inspected by a body shop.

Thanks. If this is true, these kind of adverts are outrageous. How can he say the car is all original.

In fairness, the article does say the car was in an accident.

The truth of the matter is that you were trying to hustle this car away from the family who owned it for under $20,000 and you have been trying to buy it from me ever since - right up to this week. You didn't pass on it, the seller passed on YOU.

I reccomend any prospective buyer have a thorough PPI done on this car and I can help to facilitate this.

I was offered the car by the company who had it in storage and have nevered tried buying it from you as I do not know who you are... I am just stating that the car is not "all original".

    GL on the sale.

Scott. I think you are referring to myself. 348FTW was offered the car first when it was in storage at Spec Auto and did pass on the car after he had it inspected. He then told me about it and I had it inspected as well and then you bought it. I was always interested in the car until you told me the price.

I too had conversations, emails etc about this car and couldn't make it work because of price. Nice car and good luck with the sale. You would be best at auction in the Spring and not online.

Lots of bad body work / bondo, interior was not well done, fitment issues. No comparison to the ex-Sackey car that sold at RM in Monterey.

I have never seen a black car with silver stripe. Very cool. Chrome trim works well too.

    Thanks Rich.

The graphics were added to this car by the previous owner; they are not from the factory / original. It does look great, however.

I though that might be the case. Were the stripes offered in black and white only? I have seen those specific colors on COA's and own 1 car with black stripes.

    Tony,

Yes, the red car has a black stripe on the COA but isn't presently on the car. It's basically my daily driver. I am not sure if or when I will restore it with new paint and hence haven't yet applied the stripe. Paint isn't original and is good, just not great.

This picture is of the car when it was new with its first owner in the drivers seat. The strip can just barely be made out along with its color to sample, blue carpet and white leather interior.

Thanks Chris. 1976 was the bicentennial of the United States and since the owner had been in the war, he chose a color combo of red, white and blue.

I was never keen on a red sports car but this guards red 930 has grown on me and changed my opinion completely. Go figure.

Sounds like a special car with a special history. Would love to see some interior pics if you have them.
