Wow, over a 1000 posts in less than 2 months. Good for the thread!
I wish my car had that. I am stunned with how many people toss stuff like this out when they purchase a new car. Heck, I'm anal enough I save everything that comes on a new car my wife and I purchase. I put it all in a folder and hand it to he new owner when he time comes to sell it. They are always amazed that I kept everything. Mike
Its pretty unbelievable, and many people will intentionally withhold as much of the ancillary material as they can.
I posted it because of its Dwondraft application, insane! That said, the first Lamborghini engine had this application Image Unavailable, Please Login
Didi's DD @ Essen, looks to be a Swiss car. The wheels look a different hue from original application Image Unavailable, Please Login
Vic, I'm not sure, I think it was sacrificed, I will ask Ing. Luigi Marmiroli, it was under his charge. This car was the stuff of dreams, it inspired the FIA Homologation of the Countach DD, its story is one of promise unfulfilled, of what could have been. A glorious era in Lamborghini's history. Super Countach and The Gang of Four. Horacio Pagani to the right. They all look unhappy! Perhaps they had just heard that Patrick Mimran had just sold Automobili Lamborghini SpA to Chrysler. Image Unavailable, Please Login
As development of the car continued, you can see the ground-effects being crudely modified, note hidden wiper. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Black French Club car that is much-driven as evidenced by brake dust on rims. I know of no less than five DDs with over 100k on the clock, including a one-owner-from new car collected from the factory. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Rob Archer is organizing a 2nd Countach gathering for 2016 at which I'm sure there will be more Downdrafts than you can shake a stick at. The dates are: Saturday 11 / Sunday 12th June 2016. Of course next year is Ferruccio's 100th anniversary of his 28th April 1916 birthday as well. Here Rob recaps this past year's event: Articles Anyone interested or with questions you can reach Rob (Robert Archer) at [email protected] Pics of this past year's event below Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
This Downdraft was collected at the Sant Agata works by Wilhelm Hinghaus on EE.490.AK plates (below) in 1987, and he has owned it ever since - 28 years! When he purchased the DD, he had already owned a Miura SV from new in 1972, the 1972 Geneva Salon car in fact. Since 1987, he has driven this special-order (Bianco/Arancio) DD roughly 65,000 kms. * The other one-owner-from-new DD I know of is John Wittrig's car which he picked up @ the works in 1986, drove around Europe for a year then brought to the USA. I believe he has @ 120,000 km, even more than Paul Dennis' car @ 105,000 km. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Slightly off-topic but here is the 1972 Geneva Salon Lamborghini Miura SV in Tahiti Blue which Wilhelm owned for @ 32 years till he sold it. Image Unavailable, Please Login
