Seriously, you should make a point of coming over for, say, the first week of the trial in April, see the drama first hand, and meet the players face to face.
I would love to but schedule just isn't permitting at present or for the near term foreseeable future. (Still looking forward to sitting down and reading through the recap of Justice Flaux's findings when time permits).
I would welcome that. As for truth, I have found it in more in the documents than from what is posted K
Hey, I am not saying Swaters ever tried to conceal the identity of the car. That's Joey's riff. The new data plate WAS added after the theft. No big deal. 😐
The entire chassis numbering doubts were surely also not mentioned by Bonhams, this alone is plenty to go around...
I'll give you my list as soon as I finish writing it so you can put it on your refrigerator since I don't have one, then you can take me shopping. OK?
Not about it being resolved, but should have been noted in the "history" of the car, especially considering the fact the Swaters himself was doubting; even an xray could not determine the number.
It had been clear for a long time. A different question would be when did Swater's have communication from the factory that it could only be 0384 and was it represented as 0394 after that point.
Maybe, although that would have also meant explaining the confusion in the 50s as to what car took place in each race (with if you will recall 0394 being quoted in the press of the day) which would have required a lengthy explanation as to why it might even been considered to be 0394. I think that is too much detail for what is a minor point in the provenance of the car when it was offered for sale at auction.
Would you please post the pictures you are talking about, and tell us where you see a VIN number stamped on a data plate, because, I didn't see anything on any photo like what you are talking about on JS's website. Did you actually see a photo of a stamped number on a VIN plate? Let's see it, because I doubt it.
mbzgurl Joe is playing his usual games. He doesn't actually say there are any vin plates in the pic. He knows very well there aren't any. He hasn't replied to my reply to him from last night. He should just make a factual point rather than lobbing more innuendo into the equation. That tactic might work with forming opinion with some on here but will cut no ice in the courtroom in London which is where it really matters. Ignore him.
A couple hours ago, I found SN: 0394AM listed as a 375P on page 175.3, file 7082 in the 1989 Ferrari Registry. In the comments it says - PF Spyder (?); Kim Kimberly, DNF, '54 LM. Data was entered on 87/11. Also listed on the same page is SN: 0384AM. PF Spyder crashed '54 MM. Data entered on 87/11. Then another data entry on 89/03 listing missing engine, int, rear bodywork & gas tank, four wheels, and one brake drum w/transaxle, dedion rear axel & spre tire; reported stolen 89/01 in Cincinnati, OH. Entered again on 89/06. Stolen from owners yard several months ago & is still missing. Not sure those dates mean anything.
He doesn't care what matters in Court. He's going to play this game as long as he can. He ignores questions, he has no facts, losing is winning, and failures feed his malignity.
Even more embarrassing is the fact that now that he is without counsel he's chosen to phone it in these past few sessions rather than appear in person and face the judge and victims of his shenanigans. Perhaps he fears being held in contempt for idiocrity? >8^) ER
Ha - good thought. He's apparently got no money and presumably can't afford to attend. He'll have to find some for the main trial in April because being on a phone from Florida will just not work. You can't exactly cross-examine on a phone link. Also I can't see Judge Flaux starting the day at noon to accommodate Joe's Florida timezone thus nearly doubling the length of the trial. Though to be fair to Joe, there is no suggestion at the moment that he won't be in London for the main trial. Time will tell.
Hell, he couldn't afford to pay the taxes on his fraudulent Ohio Title either, declaring he only paid $175,000 for the Ferrari and Chris Gardner paid the tax! Plus, Kristie used one of her tenants to make a pretend lease for purposes of showing he lived in Ohio to get a title, but, only supposedly paid $100.mo rent..furnished. He's too much! Don't forget about poor Timmmmmmmmmmy either. He fell off the edge of the planet after Joe took his $50,000. He's never had any money in the first place, let alone now in the London Court. His last "investor" was Tim Smith, who is married to BIG money. There is a London Law that says, "People who FUND this type of litigation CAN BE AJOINED into the CASE for DAMAGES", which means Tim Smith and his wife, plus Joe's SONS could be in his STEW. Like financing terrorism.
