I have tow hooks on a lot of my cars because I think they're cool and fun to paint accent colors ... I'm a little embarrassed to admit this but it's true ... The blue 308 actually had been raced by PO and came with the hook ... Which I viewed as a bonus ...
My tow hook is also permanently mounted. However it's under the car on the passenger side through a hole in the fibreglass spoiler..... '79 GTS
My 86 328 all cleaned up after some long drives. It's been raining like crazy here. Still managed about 500 miles the last few weeks. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Last Sunday morning I stopped to pick something up at the shops, and walking back to my car I couldn't resist how gorgeous it looked in the sunshine - just washed and chamoised, but door not closed properly...doh. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not my best shot but my last of my 308. Sold and off to its new owner. Values raised to the point where I didn't even want to drive and put miles on the car. Picked up a 355 to help cope with the sale though Image Unavailable, Please Login
My '79 308 GTB. Went as Magnum PI this year for Halloween. Surprised my wife with the costume. She told me to "get inside before any of the neighbors see you." So I decided to hang out in the driveway messing around with the 308 most of the day. Will need to pick up a GTS so I can better play the part next year...and more time working on the stache. You may also wish you had one of these should you ever need a flatbed tow. Its a lot easier a driver to hook onto one od these that to try and figure out where to hook his nasty chain or cable underneath... and then stand there an watch as it becomes taught and inches ever closer to your spoiler of valance!
It's been helping. There is something to be said about the 308 though. My 355 is nothing like it. They're both great in their own way. That being said, loving the power steering

Just a couple of photos I've taken of my car this year here in Australia! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The more I look at these magnificent cars I am just reminded how special they are. Design, history, function. Remarkable. In the classic sports car market I just think there is no comparison. There are some great car choices, but like the modern cars today, Ferrari is the benchmark. The 3 x 8 cars are a sweet spot for collectors, drivers and just plain enthusiasts. Still a great buy, actually inexpensive when you think of the overall market.
