What a fantastic picture, the Silver SV lived local to me and I often saw it driving around, the Countach was owned by Barry Robinson and must have been brand new at the time, the picture was taken at the Old Denham Service Station where Lamborghini UK were at time, I would guess the picture was taken 81/82 [any more pictures of the Silver SV before it was converted to LHD]
The Countach is Barry's first Countach, a very rare RHD 1979 LP400S S1, which he drove till the gearbox blew up. He then got the LP500S, then QV DD, then 25th, so he had 4 in all.
Thanks Joe this picture must have been taken earlier maybe 1980,I only remember one RHD 400S at the time.it was a rebuilt car from a Gold LP 400 that had been badly damaged. I don't think it exists now, I have seen other pics of SV after it had a fire that were taken by the recovery company but I was never given any copies
I think the gold LP400 was the Earls Court Motor Show car wasn't it? I remember seeing it along with two other gold cars but can't remember what year. There were loads of people crowding around the stand and it was difficult to get near.
Yes, the gold LP400 was rebuilt as an LP400S. Sorry no more pics of the silver SV. The registration number UHH1 which is on the Silver SV was also on a Miura S which caught fire and there is a photo somewhere here of the (back of the.. ) burnt out Miura S (badge clearly visible as an S not an SV) with this registration on it.
I am looking for a nice Miura to buy, and personally inspected 4239 end of november with its owner in France. 4239 is a nice original S, but non matching. This is the reason why i passed on it. Owner is a charming man and wanted about 1.000.000 EUR. After having seriously researched the subject for a few weeks, i have listed about 33 Miura's available on the market for the moment. If interested please PM me, as some cars i have direct owner with contact and i am not interested in. Here are a few pics 4239. Note: front chassis number pic should be taken better next time Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
