There is something about the chunky 1970s watch. Is it coming back? Maybe not, judging by the $35 and $45 prices I have paid for these two examples. They are not anything special, I guess, but I was intrigued by the transistorized, yet somewhat mechanical movement. They are branded as Stellaris, but this was a Sears brand in the early to mid 1970s. The seller on fleabay put a new canvas band, so the mod effect was complete. I thought I would post up a pic of the movement (Transistorized SWISS ESA 9157 Electronic Movement), which I do not see too often in this thread (I guess it is G-rated) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Power Watch today. Bought this Yachtmaster for my father almost 10 years ago but now at close to 85, he asked me to take it back because he is struggling to set the time properly because the mechanism isn't the easiest. I enjoy wearing a watch that I know he has proudly worn for many years. Image Unavailable, Please Login
My wife and I treated ourselves to watches as early Christmas presents a few weeks ago. This is mine. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Very nice watch man. Great to see you have inherited back off your old man. Enjoy it for as long as you can, then pass it down onto your children or grandchildren. Love it, very nice. Congrats, excellent taste. I love these watches. Beautiful! Enjoy my friend!
