I have owned quite a few Ford Sierra Cosworths and always amazed to see so many of the exact same Weber Marelli components fitted to the 288, they were obviously fit for purpose back in the mid 80s
What Ferrari did was very clever, using an extension of the original Homologation of December the 20th 1975, for a completely different car!

What did Dan have to say about the car? I'm sure it was all praise, but I wonder if he gave any specific impressions...
meridien modena in the uk have one for sale, think it is 54223? Used Cars - 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO - 1985 B Rosso Corsa
Always wondered what the urge was for an owner to sell up in recent times, the cars are still modern as such, practical, stunning, timeless etc etc and I doubt they actually need the money, especially as prices are still buoyant.
It's probably the values these cars are now that becomes appealing. I understand meridiens car is 2,750,000 GBP, we also have a 2500 mile car in the uk for sale at 3,8000,000 GBP, With the USD at 1.45 to GBP today values become interesting, currency traders are predicting 1.38 this year.
