No Mike' car is ZA9C005AOHLA12155, has always been in its original livery, and to the best of my knowledge still in Australia where it was last sold: CTS Auctions - AUCTIONS When it was new, I thought it had one of the most striking interiors, and to my eye it was made better than others, just perfect. Perhaps BP was having a good week! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Iconic seats and wheels,,,in a selfish way, I hope my car was last to ever have them installed at the factory.
HLA12043, sure I know, since about 10 years, Marcel B. from Holland bought it here, meanwhile it got to Italy.
Ah! Sorry I couldn't make sense of my own records! There were two white/red RHD DD QVS - Mike Taylor's car 12155 (originally J5086 that you posted before) and 12104, which was D530TFC. 12104 was resprayed bla/bla and was A6GRD.
They seem to have had a weakness for this, as the white car on the famous fold-out brochure (LP400 S through LP5000 QV) also has only one mirror.
The frontal image of the white car in the fold-out brochure is not a DD, its an image of the same LP400S2 with single Vitaloni 'Flag' (correct for that model) mirror used in the LP400S S2/3 brochure, used again for the DD brochure! Lamborghini's PR department in the 70s & 80s was very sloppy. Even the image on the cover of the DD's owner's manual is actually an image of an LP400S S1. The Monospecchio DD used in the DGM official illustrations is a QV Prototipo, one whose chassis number I'm trying to determine.
Wow! D 530 TFC? I met the guy at Silverstone @ the Historic races in 1990! Nice fellow, we compared & chatted about the cars for about an hour. Here is my DD (21 HDT left) with D 530 TFC when it was still Bianco Polo Park/Rosso. Thanks for clearing that one up. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Robert, can you tell me what happened to C 705 BYX, and, is it still Giallo? Image Unavailable, Please Login
This Argento Downdraft is one I'd like to have identified, and know if it is still silver, if anyone has any information. Raymond, it looks like it was delivered to Switzerland? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
