I need to miss this one. Good to know You are coming, Peter. Need to be in Vegas for the weekend. Have fun.
Not sure if they are considered "exotic" but they are Italian, 100% electric and made by the mother company. The other one belongs to Toonfosi. FIAT 500e all electric. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Does this think still have life? I haven't been able to make it up the past few months but wanted to bump the thread if anyone is planning to gather this weekend.
As you know of course, this Saturday is your Stoogepalooza - so that will affect participation. I'm all for keeping it going and will try to be there unless I'm out of town.
I've consigned the car for sale. Have not decided on what next.. Could be another F car but Vanquish looks mighty tempting.
Is anyone still attending the Cars & Coffee (or Brunch) in Santa Clarita on the 2nd Saturday of the month (upcoming) at Route 66? I helped push to get this going but as I said early on, I don't live up there and it was going to take the local guys to keep it going. My name is still attached to this on the FCA calendar, if it's happening, I keep it on the calendar. If not, someone let me know and I'll have it pulled. I haven't seen any life in this thread for a couple of months.
As I had said, I'm all for it but so far it looks like Chelsea and I have been the only ones showing interest. If others are still up for it please speak up now.
Hi there guys. Is this still a thing? and is it only for Ferrari? I found this thread while doing a Google search for SCV cars and coffee and this seems to be the only thing going. I would love to attend, and I would be more than happy to help organize or do whatever you need to help make it happen. I live in Stevenson Ranch. Thanks!
I was wondering t he same thing. I initially helped organize but I don't live in the area. It started out as mainly Ferrari's with a meet in Canyon Country across the street from Costco. We had a fairly good turnout for a couple of months. At the suggestion of several, the location was moved to Route 66 where there seemed to me more cars of other makes. It lasted a few months and then seemed to die out. I don't know if the Ferrari owners wanted something separate or what the deal was. We can revive but it needs to be something that the local SCV owners are behind and support. If there continues to be interest and some locals that what to spearhead things, let's get it going again in January.
Route 66 seems like a pretty good place for it to happen. I am surprised that it wasn't supported. SCV seems large enough with enough car enthusiasts to have a decent Cars and Coffee that happens regularly. Who do you need permission from to use the parking lot at Route 66? I am willing to help keep things running and organize it, once I learn the ropes.
On don't know on Route 66. They have many car events there. When we met on the second Saturday of the month, there were other makes of cars there. I don't know if that was any ongoing event of something new for us and the other makes were just tagging along. On the property across the street from Costco, I own it so no problem with permission
Ok I just read this entire thread... probably should have started out with that but I am lazy. It appears this thing is dead, but only just. Maybe it is just "mostly dead" and there is still time to revive it. I have been driving down to Malibu for their small cars and coffee event and I love it but I would much rather attend an SCV event. and I really believe SCV needs a reliable and regular C & C. If I may be so bold I think you guys should consider relaxing the Ferrari, or even the "exotic" leaning that it has. I think that gives it the best chance of taking on a life of it's own and continuing to survive. And I am not saying that just because I don't own a Fcar. On the other hand I like the idea of the original location and of keeping it fairly small and intimate. That is exactly what I like most about Malibu. If I choose to I can talk to every single owner while I am there. Something that is out of the question at the larger events like Supercar Sunday. So if I may be so bold, I would humbly suggest the next one go back to the original location since the owner is a total pushover . That would make it Jan 9th. I am also in for a "unofficial" drive after the event as well. If you are all down I will be there and help organize (even though I do not yet know what that even entails) and hit up a couple of other boards to get some other cars out there. Anyway, that is my stream of consciousness. Let me know what ya'all think!
I attended every one of these that I could and preferred Peter's original location as it was smaller and easier to get to for most people. I also enjoyed seeing other marques there as while as I enjoy my Ferrari, I like learning about other high end cars as well.
We can have it at the Via Princessa location again if you guys like. I'm sure that the Bagel Boys and Ay Carumba would love to see the cars back. That being said, for this to survive and grow it needs to be promoted by the local guys that plan to be there most times. Jonathan has moved on to other things (at least for the moment) and it will take more than Kevin to make this a success. Let me know what you want to do. I can be there on the 9th if a group is going to show. The FCA calendar still lists this as being at Route 66 but that hasn't been generating a lot of cars lately. I can change it but probably not in time for the 9th due to the holidays. As of today, this thread has over 12,500 hits so there has to be some interest.
I will be your local guy. And I will do what I can to promote it. I am not sure how to promote a cars and coffee yet but I will learn. I can definitely be there for most of them. Eventually it would be good to have a backup in case I can't make it but I am sure of it is successful we'll find one. I can probably get a few P-cars there from my other board, and then we can hopefully just drum up local support. Even if there are just a few there on the 9th it will still be fun. If nothing else we can all take a drive. Let's do this!
I also noticed the Route 66 still hosts a Cars and Coffee according to their website. But they sure don't promote it at all. I never ran across it during any of my Google searches. Only found it by really drilling down into their events page. It is supposed to be on the last Sunday of each month which means the December event is this Sunday so I am going to run down there at 8:00 and see what is happening. Worst case I have breakfast and watch some football there. lol. If anyone wants to bring their Ferrari come on up!
From what I understand, the last Sunday of the month gathering is more geared toward American Muscle cars. Nothing wrong with those and I've owned a few but not really the Ferrari or European crowd. We get a better turn out when it is our own event or something geared toward the European marques. Anyone recall the name of the local Santa Clarita shop that was willing to help promote the event?
