Brings me back fond memories when Luigi was on Ste Carherine on a second floor across the sreet from Eugene Carrier automobile (Lamborghini and Citroen) and Canbec (BMW).
I used the pretext of the acquaintance of a custommer of his to have permission to get inside this "sacro saint" place and that he can "tolerate" me so much I was impressed by the man and his passion.
Later on I remembered when he moved further west on Ste Catherine in Westmount (a building shared with CAA I believe) still on the second floor.
It was at the time I had a Fiat 128 with rally equipment (minimalist according to my then budget) it was tuned at a small shop in the industrial park north of St Leonard by the name of Montreal Auto Sprint. There was Bruno Tagliani the owner (another character/passionate/enthusiast) his son Remo and the latest of the familly=a baby in diapers by the name of Alexandre.
I am considering myself priviledged to have met so many outstanding passionates personnages.

Unfortunately no but I do believe that the known custommer wich I was refering of does, he is David O Connell the previous owner of Le Circuit Tremblant so I will inquire.

That looks different from what I remember , is the stucco new ? Bernie was this anywhere near where the 2013 student tuition protests were with the police ?

We were in a pub/ restaurant on St.Laurent , or maybe it was St.catherine when the riot police stormed the street that Friday night over f1 weekend. We then spent the rest of the weekend in old Montreal.

It looks like the owner left the white aluminium siding and got rid of the front door.

It's located in an industrial park in the west side of the island, no where near any student protest.

Yeah, that's it with the flowers, street view in Google looks like it's stucco from that distance. What's there now ? They manufacture anything there? Has the area changed much ?

The company that occupies the building is Preston Phipps.

    Products - Preston Phipps

I would guess that the area has changed a bit. I have not been by there since 2004.

Also his little sidewalk with the garden on either side... The address 6450 doesn't exist either as the company address is only 6400 Vanden Abeele.

Yeah, that's the same view I saw on Google.

Would have loved to have met the old man. I'd even have bought him lunch, or at least a snack.

that car is off to the US, and it's very sad. With our dollar a lot of nice cars are headed south of the boarder.

I'm registered and got the RM catalogues in the mail the other day. Yes, with today's rates I don't have a hope-in-hell of winning but I will bid on it!

If I don't win, I'd like to have first dibs on it if the new owner(s) decide to sell in the future :D
