    Wow, how does that happen... crew doesn't use the radio? Doesn't speak English?

    I think that's a write-off, unless they can find another wing in the junkyard.

    I was also assessing the way the damage was applied and I have to assume that the impact was close to the center wing or fuselage to have the airplane still on the runway. I think that if it had been more outboard it would have spun the airplane around. Don't know how much damage was done to the center section or fuselage but I would guess that it is a total due to the stresses and displacement applied to the fuselage and the center section of the wing. Lucky that they got out of it okay. I assume that there is a center section in the fuselage to which the wing is mounted. If the wing is a centerline join, I think that would be worse because it would affect the left wing.

    Rear mounted engines, and possibly no electrical cables or /and a clean break without friction in the right spot. Kinda lucky.

    That's what it says in the article.

    Guessing they stopped in El Paso to clear customs, then on to Telluride.

    Visibility issue.

    Seems like a similar to the Aspen crash last winter... from Mexico also.
