I quite like the carbon wing. Are those wheels original finish?

1056 is apparently the first S with larger gauges. Looks a bit tall to me as well.

    No.

As other have mentioned, it uses incorrect-spec springs causing it to sit high.

Also, it has many mods that are not correct-for-spec throughout the car, too many to list.

That said, it is a Countach!

Carbon fiber wing?on a Countach? its not a Ducati, its a 30 or so year old car,did Carbon fiber even exist in the automotive world back then?,with the exeption of perhaps f1.
What a 100%total waste of time and money, also ,how do one explaine this, after seeing the perfect original restos on Roy s white car and Joes client s green car? I do not get it,then again ,i do not get a lot of things.

To be fair, the carbon wing is not a problem, in fact, it’s a very good idea. The only issue on this one is that it's not painted. My service chap, well renowned Mike Pullen, had moulds / carbon wings made for a few clients. As the cost / longevity was better. But, I don't think any of them left it in its natural state.

Times change and tech moves on. For example, how many car's run with Raymond's ignition system. It’s not original, but it improves over the original at a better cost factor.

Its actually quite timely, The Countach was the first "Production" car with carbonfibre parts, starting in 1985 with the engine cover of the QV, some others had front bumpers and bonnets in CF.
the experimental Evolutzione had a full CF tub, as Lamborghini debated whether to continue with aluminium or go down the CF route. in the end they decided not enough was known about long term durability and damage would be too difficult to assess/repair.
Their leading CF chap was a certain Horacio pagani.....

They started with Kevlar not Carbon Fiber.

As Autosport says, the Countach used Kevlar not CF.

    Also, right from the first 1974 LP400, glass-fiber floor-panels & wheel-shrouds were used.

As regards the Evoluzione (Super Countach), the reason a CF tub was not put into subsequent production had nothing to do with concerns about long-term durability or damage repair costs, it had to do with the fact that Patrick Mimran sold his company to Chrysler, and the new owners decided to continue with the traditional steel-chassis platform.

Thanks for the info reg the Mimran. I do know the engine bonnet is kevlar,i use this material in truckloads in my line of business, just somthing odd in the carbon/carburator combo, but i will agree if painted,i have a lesser problem accepting it,

My bad, Thought kevlar was a tradename for CF! Doh!
as for why it wasn't done, I shouldn't believe everything written in the car mags, thanks for putting me right!

I still like that wing, mind you, probably harder/ more expensive to get parts made in Kevlar......

Speaking of wings, I have a factory unpainted small wing still in its original box. PM for details.
