Sorry, I don't know. I have the same photo. D111MAT was also on a pearl QV (before it was on a pearl Anniversary) and Again, I would be interested to know which.
Here it is again. So there were @ half-a-dozen Bianco Perlato DDs to the UK? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Lucky for You, You live in the UK. I bought that mag while on holiday in Europe. Still have it in my storage. 315 kmh was unheard of back in 1986.
Ths occured on the later Qvs. 86 I think? the early Qvs layout is the same as the 5000s as far as I have been able to see.
I noticed the dd also have an emission air pump, any reason why this is not disengaged?always thought this was a US fi only item,
You don't need to, just unplug the electric clutch connector. If you disengage too Long the pump might get stuck, the control unit disengages it at 3000rpm and reengages at about 1500. It's only for the smog test, you see VW did nothing new...
Best pictures ever, makes me wanna go for a drive, not happening ,my car is 2000miles away, thanks anyway for reminding us what the mighty Countach really does best, being driven ,any time any where, awesome
Makes sense, thinking back ,i belive Sweeden and switserland had similar regulations, i was thinking of importing a Countach to Sweeden back in the mid late 80s, but ran inn to an obstackle, beeng the only cars complying to sweedish rules where Swiss cars, wich where expensive and scarce on the used market,
Its even more fun at night! That's if you are brave enough to rely on those weak Carello "Prince of Darkness" lamps... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Brian Johnson, front-man of legendary rock group AC/DC visits Tonino Lamborghini and his Countach DD. Our own Dr Stefano Pasini makes an appearance to discuss the car's history. Brief but interesting piece. Interesting that Tonino put F40 door-mirrors on his DD [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8smLbX496Y[/ame]
I am told this DD has well over 100,000 on the clock Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The rest of the europe cars had this Smog pump as well, swiss cars had another muffler, co2 measure tubes, a choke wire, other airbox (to attach the choke Support), other distributor and noise protection Panels under the engine, gearbox and differential. Swiss specials are described in the parts Manual on TAV22, the anti polution is common for all on TAV 16, dated May 1985.
