Now that's a mighty piece! Do you guys wear these big watches all day long? Maybe it's my slim wrist but I don't like watches of this size because it feels like it's there all the time. I'm starting to really prefer slim and light watches that I barely notice (like my Cartier Tank).
The current trend is to strap a pocket sized watch to your wrist. Some like it. For them good. I'm 6'1" 215 lbs and for me the proportions are off visually and all that weight & size just isn't for me. My 36mm DateJust feels right; my Sub, is at times too big for my tastes.
Yep, it is. However this 720Hz variant differs from the more common 300Hz movement in that the tuning fork is asymmetrical and "shakes" a so-called micromotor (basically a tiny toothed disc with magnets encapsulated in an oil filled and sealed box) causing it to rotate. The disc is not mechanically connected to the time train, rather it relies to its magnetic properties to transmit power to the remainder of the gears.
I have a really tiny wrist but I'm used to bigger watches. Rose gold Breguet today. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very very nice. I'm in the Bahamas right now and I went down town to do some shopping a couple of days ago. There is a high end watch shop called Thomas Bull if I recall correctly. The place was out of control. It was an absolute buying frenzy. People couldn't buy watches fast enough. Rolex's were flying out of there. Amazing.
tudor glamour day date, picked up before holidays, was looking at a cellini, this seemed like a good compromise. Image Unavailable, Please Login
My (brother's) trusty 3230 Casio GShock, nothing fancy, but sentimental, spent a year in Afghanistan with him in 2012-13, now she's ticking away with me in Iraq. These Casio's are tough watches. Image Unavailable, Please Login
