Love shot #4. Can you share any details about this shoot? I prefer the lines of the 550 but this shot captures the beauty and elegance of car and model in perfect harmony. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Haha I wish I could say both In working on the 275 lol I have admired that car for years.... Unfortunately it's an original owner car.... I think he paid 30k for it 😳
Thanks! Good photographer friend and many models he knows. My M had just rolled over 50,000 miles and I wanted to commemorate with something sophisticated as find the V12's so understated. We used a model that looks a little like Scarlett Johanson as the car's nickname is scarlet (another friend had helped with that...something of the color and the power). Love the California / got to drive the T once with the double clutch. ******* that's fast. Bet you have a blast...
Scarlett suits the car well, and the model does look like Scarlett Johansson.. ya nailed the shot. As for my Cali, next to my wife she's the perfect girl for me!
Btw - congrats on breaking the 50k mileage mark. It's great to see someone else that drives their car.
That isn't the Smith one-owner 4-cam (#10709) that sold at auction for some $27MM a couple of years ago, is it? I very much doubt that a buyer from new could have paid $30K when Luigi Chinetti sold the 1967 275NART Spiders that he had specially commissioned for around $10K.
not my point, which was that it was unlikely to have paid $30K for this fellow's new 275 when Chinetti was selling NART Spiders for $10K
Price on the 275s was around $14k for those of us old enough to remember. New Daytonas were originally only $19K.
From TAZ: "Price on the 275s was around $14k for those of us old enough to remember. New Daytonas were originally only $19K." "Old enough to remember"? You make me feel like a wrapped mummy! However... Around 1971, while in high school, my paper route must have been doing pretty well when I decided I should have a Ferrari (Seriously, why the hell not!). I saw an ad in the back of, I think, Road & Track posted by Tom Meade (of Thomassima fame) advertising used Ferraris. He was in Italy and I sent him a letter asking what he had. He replied, on air mail onion skin stock, with two beautifully hand printed quotes. One was for a 275 2 cam short nose for about $5,800 USD and the second was for a 275/4 long nose for, I think, about $6,500. I was a bit short (LOL) so I asked my dad for bridge funding (a.k.a. "Dad, can I borrow some dough?") insisting "The cars can only go up in value!" When he finally caught his breath, and got up from the floor, he regretfully declined my generous offer to participate. Toward the end of his life we got some good laughs from that memory. Fond memories.
This is a picture of Cowgirl doing the monthly dog food run via her elegant but brawny boyfriend Guido. Take that, all those that think Ferraris aren't "practical"! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Agreed. Nothing better than a Maranello to pick up things (not chicks ) I just drove to my brother today with my Maranello to pick up his old turntable and some 100 records (yes the vinyl ones ). Markus
Very unusual mild weather for the end of Decembre in Burgundy: pure and blue sky, non salty dry roads and 7-8°. All conditions met for visiting the parents in-laws with my Grigio Titanio Maranello. The pleasure is intact every time I drive it, what wonderful machine! The foggy (very foggy) trip back by night was not so painful: the headlights and the fog lights are efficient! Happy new year for all Ferraristi and Maranello afficionado! Fred. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
My 575 at the first show that I took it to. I got a platino award. http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r92/dkahnjob/IMG_2767.jpg It looks like I don't know how to post an actual picture. Can anyone give me some instructions? Thanks, David

Been raining and blowing too much here recently, so spent an afternoon detailing the 575 in the garage instead of driving her. One short outing in the sun just before Christmas. Long winter ahead. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That looks exactly like the car I missed before buying my own 575, beautiful. Love the metal gate manual! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Darius, what a nice colour combo! I'll have a drink on you, as I'm actually in Bassano del Grappa, guess which one I'll chose!? Have also bought some nice Franciacorta, one bottle is reserved for you (still owe you something....). Unfortunatly I'm not doing the trip with my 550.... Saluti, Jürgen
