Well the reason the status exists is because the original Ferrari importer of Japan only offered LHD cars. You had no choice but to get LHD.

 

He mentioned in the New year thread he is selling the car

 

He could always buy a cheap(ish) Mondial and stay around(means he'd have to learn how to use a clutch and gearstick),unless he's getting deported...

Incredible how he managed to have absolutely nothing in focus with the interior camera.

 

I found two modern Ferraris for sale in Japan that are RHD (out of 300 odd fez on that site)

Cali only $192k

FF only $300k

I also found it amusing that all the ads had "rich options"

It's a damn shame their exotic market is 99% LHD

I spent 8 years living in Japan and on the weekends, saw every conceivable exotic-Carrara GT's, SLR, Diablo GT & SV's, Mclaren F1's, Zonda's, riced up Countaches (never saw a stock Countach) and Ferraris and only once did I see a RHD Ferrari-a silver 430.

Yes, it is a shame that most exotics are 99.9% LHD otherwise I would've bought a Ferrari over there.

I know of two people who have done just that when a 355 has popped up. There are very rarely any sought after spec cars (red/tan/manual) listed on carsales.

I'd do it. In fact, I've bought cars and paid for them in full before ever seeing them. One of them was privately owned in the UK!

I bought a blue Dino GT4 without having seen it.
