    1988½ Lamborghini Countach 5000 QV @ RM Sotheby's
    ARIZONA 28-29 January 2016

    VIN: ZA9CA05AXJLA12340
    Engine: 1556
    Color: White/Rosso
    Mileage: 13759 km

    A desirable 1988½ model in well-preserved condition
Currently showing fewer than 8,600 miles
One of a believed 50 built to this specification

The 1988½ model offered here, chassis 12340 features such desirable upgrades as electronic climate control and OEM factory side skirts; according to the consignor, fewer than 50 cars worldwide were produced to these specifications. This particular car was originally delivered in California, later enjoying ownership in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, prior to its acquisition by the current owner. It records a mere 13,759 kilometers (8,549 miles) at the time of cataloguing, and its gleaming Bianco paint and Rosso interior are described as being in superior condition. An RM Sotheby’s specialist who inspected the car notes, “It is in excellent condition and looks like it has many fewer miles!” A clean CARFAX report accompanies the car and verifies that it is an accident-free example.

Dramatic, attractive, and always in demand, a Countach is a requirement of any collection of modern sports cars. This is a fine example indeed.

    Unfortunately not.

Bleu Medio sometimes also called Blu Medio was used by many Italian car companies of the period, Lamborghini, Maserati, Alfa, etc so it wasn't super-rare, in fact it was relatively common, although it must have looked gorgeous on that Miura SV!

Oh, so many cars coming up for sale at once, which you would have rarely seen for sale years ago. Is this cashing-in (or an attempt to)?

The S2 Espada has various non-original cosmetical and technical modifications, as evident from the photos, if one cares about that.

I would take the Islero :D, if I were considering having even another classic Lamborghini. I love it, although the Ser. I even a little bit more.

    Cheers, Bernhard

This then is good reason :D to have it repainted in the orginal paint color, because in my eyes red does not really suit any classic front-engined Lamborgini.

This is not proven, the factory list notes only 1121312 ans 1121314 as Mimran cars, 1121448 is noted as Lamborghini SA which was Leimers Company acting as importer, till the Mimrans took over with Codeco SA from Nyon.

He sold it last year to Didi G. from Germany.

    2007 Lamborghini Murciélago LP640-4 Coupe @ RM Sotheby's
    Phoenix, ARIZONA 28-29 January 2016

    Lot 111
To be auctioned on Thursday, January 28
    Estimate $275,000 - $325,000
    Chassis: ZHWBU37M77LA02595
    Oro Adonis/Black

    - One of just 26 U.S.-specification examples equipped with a manual transmission
    - Just under 6,000 miles from new; possibly the lowest mileage six-speed example
    - Recently serviced and fitted with a new clutch

Finished in the seldom-seen and striking shade of Oro Adonis over a black leather interior, this is one of just 26 U.S.-specification LP640 coupes fitted with a six-speed manual transmission. Inside, it is finished in black leather with the optional contrast “Q-Citura” quilted stitching adding a touch of class. It is outfitted with numerous other additional options including a glass engine cover, yellow brake calipers, and the Branding package, adding embossed emblems to both headrests. Additionally, the car sports a navigation system and an upgraded and professionally installed sound system, installed by a previous owner and Lamborghini collector. Further separating it from the rest, the engine bay is signed by famed Lamborghini factory test-driver Valentino Balboni.

The LP640 remains in incredible overall condition, clearly having been well cared for its entire life. It recently received a full service and had its clutch replaced at that time. Accompanying the car are receipts from that service, as well as documentation from a full inspection by Norwood Auto Italia of Carrollton, Texas, in late 2015, as well as a set of owner’s manuals.

Currently showing just under 5,900 miles from new, this is possibly the lowest-mileage six-speed manual LP640 coupe in existence, and it is believed to be one of only three such examples with under 10,000 miles on the odometer. Needless to say, it will surely become one of the most collectable modern Lamborghinis and would be the ideal acquisition for the individual looking for a modern supercar with an analog feel.
