    Yes, but it wasn't that long ago he decided to get it pulled apart, so either he pre-ordered all the necessary parts or was lucky they were all available when it was pulled apart

    Pap you right, it was many ... many months. Partly it was me not being in a hurry due selling house and moving and CM being down on people with Russell leaving.
    I very happy with the outcome, with drive home being 2 hours through the city and down via the picton road to the M1 and home.
    The car is at a point where after sitting for so long prior to my purchase I know it wont need anthing other than std service and the leather shrinkage and sticky parts sorting. Tyres will also need changing....

    Miles has invested in new diagnostic equipment and software and employeed Steve with a strong diagnostic background.
    Between Steven and Jasper Miles has a good team.

    Peter, I absolutely agree if it was a Holden Rodeo 3.2v6 which had similar issue the manufacture would do a recall and they didn't but they fixed them when owners complained.

    I know Ferrari put out a service bulletin for the 355 guides but that to me is admittance of a quality control issue and delt with it warranty or not.
    I am also surprised this hasn't impacted on the desirability of the 456M but it hasn't world wide.
    One article I read commented about the issue stating that " the rich owners would have sorted the issue" IMHO they did, they sold them and leased a new 612.

    A good friend made the comment when I bought the car, " you know when you buy a Ferrari it's only a deposit" I just payed another instalment which should cover me for some time.

    As for a badge of honour or is a right of passage? I would say I now qualify.

    As I only plan to do it once, so does my wife who was initially not happy with the expense of joining the V12 Major Overhaul Club.
