You win! I do rice for the dog. She likes peas and carrots, but I've never made them specifically for her...T

Ok, all this talk of tuna got me hunting the Internet for my two favorite grilled tuna steak go-withs.

This jicama slaw is really good. Cool. Fresh. Light. Great crunch.

    http://www.foodreference.com/html/jic-rap-sal-070707.html

I don't use anywhere near the amount of brown sugar indicated.

I like this relish on top, except I use only habanero, and mix mango and pineapple. Depending on how assiduously you remove the membrane & seeds, it can go from fiery to quite sweet and citrus-y.

My mutts get chicken breasts, beef liver and tripe. I supplement with a little high quality kibble. The last two months, chicken has been off the table. The U.S. Safeway is closer to me then my towns stores. Chicken was banned from entering Canada. I don't cook these things, all my dogs ate it raw. Although dogs can handle meats raw, if they are not used to it, can make them sick. Mine all ate raw from young puppy on up.

Those both sound good. I have never actually bought and used a jicama before but might have to try this one of these days.

I tried raw food for mine. Semi local company that is touted as one of the best in the raw business, all good stuff, fresh frozen...blah blah blah.... My dogs hated it. I tried every trick in the book and ended up selling the stuff off. At one point they had both gone two days without eating. Especially for my little guy, that's not good. Back to good kibble and they are both happy and healthy. If I ever get a puppy I'd probably start them on a raw diet.

    That looks pretty amazing!!

It was. I really like cooking this way. Makes firing up the Egg in winter a non starter a lot of times.

I don't do 100% raw. All my dogs got some added raw food from a young age. If I do give straight kibble, they won't eat.

Tonight I've decided to do soft taco night.

So, nothing like liquid smoke? Traditional tri trip rub - salt, pepper, garlic, parsley?

They are. Jicama doesn't have much taste, so it's a good platform. I love the crunch of jicama slaw...T

Me... except I'll be in the guest bedroom... on the other side of the house! :D:D

First attempt in our Instapot instead of the traditional slow cooker. Will require only minor tweaks to get it back to top form.

Made some smashed taters today and had leftover meatloaf and mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy. It was better than it was a couple days ago fresh! :)

I will ask... but if you never hear back from me, just remember that I did my best! ;)

I'm one of those people who loves all kinds of Chili.

Except "Veggie chili". That **** can just go straight to hell. If it doesn't have beef in it, it ain't Chili!
