I saw this little picture and saw the light. Part of the problem now is all the designers are trying to offset the high headlights/wheel arch tops with huge ugly grills. Other than the lower grill on this car wich I think should be shrunk to 1/3rd it's size there is not much grill on the front. The headlight clusters/top if wheel arch have been made at the Euro height, but very minimal. Then the nose was brought way forward rounding out at the center bumper line. Maybe the main way to get around the height requirements is to make the headlights as small as possible and not as an important element in nose design. Then bring the nose down to a almost pointed stance in the center. Forget the grill. Make scoops/NACA dusts on the top of the front fenders/hood to bring cool air in. The fog lights could also be shrunk.

I would say continue the trent in the photo, but bring it even farther with even less grill. Marque logo's done need a huge grill. Make the shape your marque identifier, not a huge ugly grill.

I love Alfa's, but the new Giulia Alfa grill has the same problem. It should be 1/3rd the size.

Looks like a nice event. Some of that "American" styling is the most original ever done IMO. Looking at it now you have to be impressed even if sometimes it turned out to be way over the top. But is was after all the JET AGE

 

He got that idea I think from a B45 bomber engine inlet. They did love the jets back then. Now we love kitchen appliances and cell phones, so our cars look like toasters with big grills

That 'front' looks almost exactly like the 'rear' of the Navy Vought F7-U Cutlass from the 50's. The twin exhaust nozzles.

Very cool.

...edit, and, as tommy pointed out, the intakes of the twin pod engines on the B-45.

 

You seen the real car? Renderings look nice. Has some attitude but also has some Aston Rapide in there too; not a bad thing.

That rear 3/4 sure is popular these days...

 

Nice looking Buick. Looks sort of Tesla like with muscle car mixed in. Good styling mix.

To bad that front end was not on the Camaro.

The exterior looks great. Makes me think of a Jaguar F-type mated with an Aston Martin DB9, for some reason. But I really like it.

I really hope they don't do that to the interior though. Looks cold, uncomfortable, and uninviting. Makes me think of a vodka bar, so anticipate all the surfaces being sticky. Total disaster in there.

That Buick looks nice. Needs a better name though. Riviera comes to mind.
