Is anything supposed to go on this connection? The larger connection goes to the brakes and has the orange duct on it but I just noticed this and it doesn't have anything on it on my car. There is a red circle on it in the diagram and it is on the passenger side of a US car.

I don't have anything either and the diagram is blank. Kind of odd to have it made that way with no use?

Jim, as mentioned nothing connects to that extra "port", and i don't recall having the same configuration on the LH side though it's been a while since I was back there.

BTW, you can be pretty aggressive cleaning those ducts--I was apprehensive at first but in the end found I could scrub gently with lacquer thinner and a tooth brush with no damage to the silicone covering on the ducts--cleaned up like new. The only caution is to be careful if the reinforcement thread is unravelling.

    Good luck!

Looks great. I just used a parts washer and some simple green to clean the duct when I did it last year when I had the motor out. It is pretty resilient but I would be concerned about the long term affect of thinner on the material. Solvents and the engine heat are not good on vinyl or whatever the duct is made of. I used a new product on the rubber gasket at the air cleaner. It looked great and the rubber as in good shape but I now have to replace it since it dried it out. I spoke to the company that made the cleaner and they said it was high in solvents. It give you a great sheen and fresh look but it destroys the rubber.

What was the price? Is it the OEM orange duct?

The OEM uses the SCAT ducting, This is orange SCAT ducting. I think around $120 for all 3 parts, you need to measure the original length and Diameter, to get an exact quote, great guy to work with. Hope that helps'.
