Thank you. When I've got some spare time I'm going to render some close ups to try to tease out more of the depth of the triple layer paint. Seems that's just about as hard to capture in CGI as it is in photography. It will be a good exercise.
took some shots before cars & coffee this morning.....the light has to be 'just right'...still trying Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
With a little bit of a tweak to the first image, as attached, you can start to see it come out. It's such a wonderful colour and with all those fabulous curves on the 458 it's a match made in heaven. The shader I used on the renders is pretty complicated but I'm going to have to push it further for the close-ups, but I pretty much know where I need to go with it so, hopefully, I should be able to get that to come up really lush. I've been wanting to share my work for a while... Here are are the leaded crystal tailights I cast and co-designed with Tom Meade for the Ferrari powered Thomassima IIII supercar. The beads of flowing water were what I came up with to give the lens more interest and light refraction. It went along with the tub's "flowing like water" theme and Tom's trust in me paid off with a big smile on his face when he saw the leaded crystal taillight light up the first time. These pieces have never been shown publicly until now, as only James Glickenhaus and his crew have seen this collection, as shown at Pebble Beach at The Lodge in August, 2014.Please see the "Tom Meade, car designer" thread for more about the Thomassima IIII project and the great Ferrari designer who wowed Enzo. Tom saved so many priceless Ferraris and Maseratis like two of three 350s cars. The least I could do was to save his greatest Ferrari for all of us. I will continue to share as it goes othis thread when appropriate. Thank you

Just had this artist from Poland do this and my R8. His name is Przemek. He only uses markers and pens. Amazing work! Image Unavailable, Please Login
He's one of my favorites! I think I posted some of his work earlier in this thread. Fantastic job on yours!
This is one of my friends, Roland Baladi who lives in New York. Sculptor already known for his works in marble, food processor, camera, guitard. He had an old Cadillac he loved but which was falling apart. He wanted to give him eternal life sculpting in Carrara marble block of 20 tons. It took 20 years to do so. Here it is in New York: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
