    Matthias,

I saw this website posted in one of the other FChat blogs:

Goodyear EAGLE F1 Tire Lettering Tire Stickers ? TIREGRAFICX

    Tire Lettering Kit ? TIREGRAFICX

Might be a good way to replicate the sidewall lettering of your tires to replicate how they were when raced in period. It's possible also to shave your sidewalls bald. Diamondback in the U.S. Can do it: https://www.dbtires.com/2015_catalog/2015_Catalog_Lo.pdf

I found out about them from Bruce Canepa a few years ago when he had his 427 Cobra on the lawn at Pebble Beach. Looked amazing. Looked like they were molded that way. I discussed it with my Michelin colleagues and they said it doesn't compromise the tire. You can keep the tire specs on the inside wall.

The peel and stick you can customize to be very close to the original font but are flat non raised graphics. I don't believe the original racing GoodYear Racing tires had raised letters. Some had raised outlines like your original spare. It's also possible to create paint frisks like they would had. Shaving the sidewall gives you a clean slate. Another option would be to make a mold of your spare tire sidewall and have it made out of rubber and find out if it's possible to vulcanize them to the tire sidewall.

The restoration is coming to an end and one of Europe`s leading automotive artists, Steffen Imhof, has finished the 150x70cm Nart Dino picture and delivered it to my apartment today.
It found a nice place in my office. I´m very please with his work, art is always a question of taste, but I think this picture looks awesome.
I also like the details with the old planes in the background... one is a Lockheed Constellation.

If you are interested, I allowed Steffen to do a limited print of my picture.

Normally this thread would come to an end now, but I found the next project by coincidence ....
End of November I picked up an e-mail from Gullwing Motor Cars with an M-Series Dino for sale. On the first look the wrong US-model 1973/74 front did not really trigger any attraction. On the second look all the rest of the car seemed untouched and authentic, with a 39 years last ownership in California and all invoices of this time period still with the car. Original colour Giallo Senape, one of my favourites.... but more important was the little air intake holes in the sills, just before the rear wheel housings triggered my attention.... and on the last picture I could read the chassis no. #01266. #01266 really?! (see also page 282 Dino Compendium) another avertable missing Dino with racing history :) Engine, gearbox and body no. are matching/original. I couldn`t believe my luck as I later found out this Dino was already 6 month in the market... Beverly Hills Car Club in CA and DriverSource in TX.... Within 24 hours I bought the car with the help of Andreas Birner. With only very few Dinos having period racing history, this one is one of the most interesting ones after the two Nart-Dinos from my point of view and the look of the car is the most spectacular one!
Marathon de la Route 1971 - Nürburgring 96 hours - Team Ecurie Francorchamps: Hughes de Fierlant Dormer / Yves Deprez / John Goossens. Started as favourites, the Dino was stopped within the first hour of the race with a broken half shaft (how is that possible?!)
My godsom gives thumb up on the new purchase and is keen to help dismantling the car... we will start in spring....
As with the Nart-Dino any help is very much appreciated....

    Thanks to Nico and Björn/Nils!
Nico`s father finished in this Marathon de la Route race 7th with an Alfa Duetto... great achievement!
I`m looking forward to meet him this year to hear more about this very last Marathon de la Route race from 1971....

I`m obviously very interested in any more pictures that can be found, especially of the back of the car and coloured pictures....

This Dino was also on display at the Brussels Motor Show in January 1971, to gether with #01276 Rosso Dino and #01286 Verde Germoglio.
We couldn`t figured out which car is which, so coloured picture would be very much appreciated....
