308 QV GTS 1/18 Die cast model

Why don't I see any of these around. Only GTB available it seems. Anyone have one? I'd be interested. Rosso Corsa/Blk

 

The 308 was never popular in 1:18, but let me look in my huge collection and if I have one, GTS you are welcome to it.

From memory I think I do...does it have to be the QV?

Would free up a spot, for one that lives on the closet floor!

 

I've seen earlier cars but not QV. If you have one that would be great.

 

There are a couple of Kyosho 1/18 variations of the 308GTS QV - red/black, and yellow/black - which show up on eBay. There was also a Hot Wheels 1/18 308 GTS QV, a 1983 US spec, in red/tan... With Magnum's face on the box These can also be found on eBay occasionally, about a year ago I got one.

 

I'm afraid mine might be yellow, but I need to look.

 

Unfortunately there rare, and expensive when they appear.

Oh man. That's it!! Why are they so rare?? Damn. I even emailed the guy at Die Cast Models and he said when/if they get them, they sell out fast.

I guess the old popularity vs. numbers made, is at play in the market.

 

Yes, unfortunately that's what they go for, even in auctions.
I've seen the yellow version sell cheaper, if you were on a budget you could repaint a yellow to red but it's a big hassle.

 

Unreal. Every other Ferrari they seem to have available.

 

If you search for the Hot Wheels Elite 1/18 Magnum PI car, you will find that it is a hodgepodge of details from multiple years, but the body is actually a QV with the extra hood grill, rear spoiler, and even the 80-85 seat pattern. Even though model supposedly is a GTS, the engine appears to be a 2v injected engine. I paid about $175. That may be as close as you can get without stratospheric pricing of the Kyosho model. It's got a carb steering wheel and black B-pillar, but you easily could doctor those up.

 

Hmm, I may stand corrected. Just did a search, and looks like the price of these has shot through the roof, as well. eBay completed listings show $289-$545 in the past month. Just keep an eye out; prices will settle down at some point...

Bought one of each color when I had the chance. Try to buy them if you see one, they're getting hard to come by.

Yep, I am sorry to report I have a yellow 308GTB, a yellow 328GTS, and a red/tan 328GTS!

Rising in prices just like all 308's are. Hard to believe these cost more than a LaFerrari 1/18 model. Lol!

 

Just looking at the model, on a QV should the A pillar not be body colour?

 

'83 it's black. '84/'85 body color. So that model is an '83. Just the year I need.
