Ok thanks guys... I've seen a handful of 74s with metal grill and I recall the 3.0rs came with them. I was curious when the switch over point was

An engine and interior photo of GLP 870N appeared in the Mar ’75 Motor Sport magazine. The engine’s recirculating valve housing lacks the sensor lead that was on the production 3-liter Turbos (same as S-CD 1337) and preproduction air cleaner housing.http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/144332925-post5187.html Also note the hub-centric fat steering wheel fitted since it is an early ’75 Turbo. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/144334034-post5190.html

The article provides some insight to the number of 'RHD 75 Turbo imported to the UK: “Production starts this month and of the twenty to be imported to Britain in this model year, 17 have been sold in advance.”

    Hello
I think everybody who did a interiour resto got to the point of the leather.
First that comes on the table is the "original" Porsche leather, like the right seat.
I sourced a other leather whit a slight gloss, the one in the middle.
I think the matt leather is just to modern.

I agree, matching the original leather is no easy task.

I prefer the flat black over the glossy. The gloss makes them look much newer.

If your selling those sport seats though because the leather is too shiny, I will happily buy them though. ;)

    Yes,sure me also
But did you ever see a early original matt leather intriour?
They all have a slight gloss, and its not all from wear..

I actually think the gloss looks more original based on that picture.

The engine timing sticker is different for each year of 3.0 production, as well as North American vs European. What year are you looking for?

Run in to these VDO boost gauges.
They are on the way to resto.
Could these be correct for the 76'?
I have seen some pics of 76" dashes whit these, was this a factory option?

Have you checked the date stamps on the reverse? They are probably from the 1980s. There was no factory boost gauge for production Turbos until the 1977 model year. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/144237208-post4874.html

This factory boost gauge is in my vintage modded for street use 77 930. I suppose I should pull it out and look for a date stamp. it is designated a SC and hooked up to this vintage control way back when. I have service records from new but no mention of the this or any of the other mods. Anyone know more about this one?

Not factory, those are 935 'tell-tale' units. Still very desirable in the aftermarket world.

Assuming they are correct and authentic, they are worth around $850-$1000 USD each.

I've heard LED ( maybe not this particular one )was used prior to the teletale in 934 & early 935. Also the boost controller has a locking device so once set in race set up, the boost difficult to be changed by the driver in the race.

Also a similar LED used in this original 1984 935 street 2 Kremer. What I've heard so far is Porsche went to the teletale in comp cars after the early turbo ones however they were available thru Porsche Motorsports into the 80s.

Don't know about the street cars but that is the same boost gauge we used in our 917,934,and 935 Porsche race cars.
