On that day, at that time, that's all it was worth. Good buy, or is it? Who knows. That car could go through a different auction tomorrow and get 70k. It's all about what somebody is willing to pay "right now".

Good eye! Sure looks like it. The mileage, year, wheels, and antenna placement certainly match. Funny that the dealer quoted the total number of TSs produced as 1992 production alone.

Look at the seller's take. Don't forget the seller paid a premium meaning he got more like $33k or less. 5% w/o reserve, 10% with reserve, plus entrance fee that varies between $500 -$1000, plus what ever it costs to get the car there. Heck, lucky if he walked away with $30k by the time he's done with all the expenses.

Over all the only car actually listed as sold for a good price was a 1980 308 GTS with about 9k miles for $100,000 plus premium. An 86 Testarossa when for $125,000 but that's not particularly good.

well, it is nice to see all those cars for sale for sky high prices, but so far I don't see any of them 358/355 moving.
is there anyone amongst us who purchased a 348/355 recently for 70.000 + ?

Why do the seats look that worn with the low milage?
Looks suspect to me. i have seen cars with triple that mileage and better leather.

    Ugh... this car.

Yes, it is that car. The slightly misleading quote of prod #s seems typical of that dealer's tactics.

Interesting to see with more pics now.

This car was on my radar for purchase through Chris at Frankman Motors, and I had some extended communication with the dealer, attempting (unsuccessfully) to extract some information that would be helpful towards determining a fair offer to make a deposit towards. Repeated inquiries over 13+ emails between us for description or photos of the common aesthetic "issues" with 348s went unaddressed in the course of conversation (stickies, leather, glass, etc.... seriously simple stuff), as did any answering to confirming a history or lack of for the car (major service items, etc). Consistently ignoring or or talking around the relevant questions and inquiry for a 3rd party PPI contingency, sending generic warehouse photos instead of specific to show condition, and direct into trying to talk price commitment. Ultimately devolved into questioning my intent and seriousness to buy the car, which I quickly refuted and described as to why, with a final request for what I needed to move towards a deal. A final communication came back, without any answers (again), and I abandoned any hope of dealing with the dealership. Moved on and purchased another 348 a few days later.

The dealer's ability to comprehend or deliver on simple requests to move towards and determine a mutually agreeable deal raised quite a bit of suspicion and red flags towards the car and/or how they do business. It stinks, and it easily didn't have to be that way, but I'm not quite sure how else to interpret.

If anyone is looking at the car, I'm happy to fwd over my email chains as a reference, though helpful descriptive content is a bit lacking.

Previous dealers that have serviced the car say that it has some electrical gremlins and other areas to look at... so it would be important to be diligent with your research and find out its history.
