    Hi Marcel,

Do you just mean the owner's background (easy to understand why it's for sale) or something else with the car in addition to change of colour?

I could not find much, this of course over here:
    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/north-central-usa-mi-oh-ky-wv/486707-terry-myr.html

Ok, he didn't declare and pay the taxes he should have, but that does make this car so bad, or does it? (Maybe I have missed something obvious?)

    Cheers,

    Pekka T.
    Fin.

If the consignor has good title, I don't think Mr. Myr's tax issues should be a problem.

NOT the color change and NOT any of the owner(s). And not Mr Myr, not at all.
I mean what happened to the car, a long time ago.

The 275GTB ,not sold at 2.8M,judging by your comments, sounds about the money. Not a great week for Fcars. The Daytonas,660K - 800K,not sold, also 330GTC at 600K,246GTS at 400K all unsold.

This is a Mecum auction, not the place most people with a pristine significant Ferrari sell their cars. Especially with RM upcomming in Scottsdale and Amelia Island in 2 months. JMO

Maybe there is hope after all for those of us who aspire to owning a 330 GTC. If they ever touch 250K again I promise to buy, having passed on them in the 1980's at 50K.

Then again, maybe it's the auction house and/or the quality of these particular examples as dwhite mentioned. It will be interesting to see what 2016 brings.

Loads of corvettes, shelbys and other of the same old things which tipify a Mecum auction. Out of their comfort zone for their bidders not so much. Just my observence and I never thought they have best-of-breed examples of European cars, ever.

Totally agree, however I think it was a complete, how would you put it... Disaster? A reflection of the current economy or loss of confidence? That might be some part of it
