How can I remove switches without damage?.. I Have tried, but seems like it does not want to give...
355 Spider ..seat switches.. i would imagine same as a lot of the others as far as how they are connected
I take it nobody knows.. Which I feel somebody could easily let me know, This Forum is really great help?
Im trying to chill, but my car seat is stuck in the far up position (would go forward but not back.). i can not even get into car let alone drive and it is outside right now, so sorry but I just would like to switch my passenger switch to drivers..All these toggle switches must connect the same way
Remove the ashtray. Then the side mirror switch. Then pop the switches out from underneath or remove the whole tray they sit in.
There's release tabs on the sides of the connectors. Just squeeze them and pull the connector off the switch. I'll see if I can find a pic. I changed my surround and had it apart.
If it ran forward, then maybe it's not the motor. Unfortunately, there are no readily available wiring diagrams for the Spider, so I don't know if there are computers, relays or what controlling the seats. Have you tried moving the roof to various positions to see if that affects the operation of the driver's seat? Something might be out of sync. Cheers Ian.
That would be very inefficient, Steve. Usually, motor phases/polarities are reversed to make them run in different directions. The parts diagram shows two motors (but only to show the parts breakdown more easily) SEATS AND SAFETY BELTS -VALID FOR SPIDER- - Ricambi America, Inc. Cheers Ian.
Thanks Ian, I think i must have been thinking of another seat that I remember seeing two motors on..My aftermarket mats that I just Put in got stuck under seat around when this all happened..
I thought originally it was the switch,,When I went to move back made no sound and could feel power to seat, unlike when i try to move it forward
