    I am offering here a 1990 Ferrari F40 in the standaard Red and Red.
    This car is in amazing chape and has under 1500mls all original.

    This is a Non US spec car and therefore the price for this more that outstanding ultra low mileage example is set at just $1.3m incl shipping.

    Serious inquiries only via PM. If needed i can also give my phonenumber but because of time difference better not give it here out in the open to avoid midnight calls :)

    Partexchange is possible (I will also pay for the shipping costs on the exchanged car) At the moment I am looking for a Porsche 356 open car Convertible or Sunroof coupé and/or a Porsche 911 (F) Targa S with the more then outstanding 2.4l engine. More than prefered are unrestaured true "Survivor" cars. Also the more outspoken colorslike yellow or green are of extra interest. But just offer what you have, might be something of interest in the end.

    Its over 25 years, believe the U.S. is the same as Canada (except CDN is 15 years old), you no longer need to comply with DOT or EPA on unmodified vehicles 25 years or older.

    I checked U.S. customs website. It says "Cars that are more than 25 years old are exempt from EPA and DOT requirements." more info here: https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/289/~/importing-a-non-u.s.-version-%2F-non-conforming-vehicle-or-car-into-the-u.s.

    So I assume just import tax and shipping only? What is the import tax for a vehicle coming from Europe?

    Id have to look up the rate. But you'd pay shipping, duty and also state sales tax when you register it.

    It really works out to about 5-6% all in when you layer all insurance, bonding, tariffs, shipping, etc for a car of this value.

    not really, shipping is included in the ad, and the other import fees (other than duty) are fixed documentation fees.

    US Duty, Taxes & Bond

    Import Duty - 2.5%

    Harbour Maintenance Fee - 0.125%

    Merchandise Processing Fee - 0.3464% (Max $485.00)

    Customs Surety Bond - 0.525%

    PLUS:

    USD $2050.00 - Collection at local European location

    USD $375.00 - Export Customs Papers

    USD $675.00 - Export Security / DGR

    USD $450.00 - Delivery to Airline

    USD $675.00 - Airline Handling

    USD $7450.00 - Airfreight to US

    USD $1000.00 - US arrival handling

    USD $500.00 - US import docs

    USD $1500.00 - Delivery to US location

    USD $2875.00 - All Risk Transit Insurance (deductible of $7500.00) this value depend on value of car as well.

    It will be slightly less for sea freight.

    Total was just under 6%

    Like it says in the add shipping (by plane) is included.

    the car is 25 years old and therefore is elegible for import without altering.

    In this case al the buyer has to pay is the USA side of the bill, so like i see it nog import duty at 2.5% and maybe some other formality charges.

    Furthermore it is a private sale so sales tax should not be an issue in this.

    Sales tax would be by state when registering. WA would charge sales tax close to 10%. Great car GLWS.

    Yeah, 10% on the $500 value of a 25 year old car, wink. I think that is what he meant by sales tax is not an issue on a private sale.
