They had two different ones at the very least. In the beginning it was one of those leather key wallets that would hold several keys. Nothing "Ferrari" about it.

Later it was a badge but, funny, I can't recall if it was a shield or the rectangle one. Someone will come along shortly with a picture, I'm sure.

Pop in the "Mixed Doubles" DVD. I bet that episode would show something helpful.

I remember a shield, metal like with black background. I have never seen that one before. it was in one of the earlier seasons of Magnum PI, they show the Ferrari shield fob while Selleck is changing gears.

I remember it being colored. Obviously the one in the pic just happens to be facing the wrong way. I know it is seen several other times but I would have to think about it a while. If you are going to fast forward through a bunch of DVD's I would start at season 3 when they began using the injected 2V car.

I could be wrong but I'm almost sure grey / silver scuderia shield but no yellow background, more darkish, maby black with the outer lines and horse in silver grey, could have been brass/copper.

Ill take a look and capture a frame.

You may be right. In my mind I am seeing a color one but it's been a while. I used to be really good at knowing what show and what part these little things could be seen it. Not as much anymore but I did know to go to the Mixed Doubles right away.

    I'm getting old...

darn, I can't remember, mabe around season 5, I watched a few episodes a while back, I remember asking Albert-LP about a silver like scuderia shield key fob, I can clearly remember seeing the front part of the fob, very similar scene like in Mixed Doubles.

That must be a double, at six feet four there isn't that much leg room in a 308.

They removed the seat bottom and padded the floorboard for filming so he could fit.

That site is amazing. He invites input and I joined in so I could communicate with him. Problem is I emailed him about two mistakes and never heard back. The mistakes are still there. No big deal but I guessed it rubbed him wrong or something. I was nice about it all. Oh well..

This is the replacement key that Ferrari has supplied for the past 15 (or so) years. Initially loose blanks could be had for >$20. Now the guy at the parts counter of your authorized Ferrari dealer needs to provide proof of ownership to the factory to order them for you. Price nowadays? I don't recall exactly, but it's at least 10X what it used to be.
