Now I need opinions .. I have an F12 and considering a new FFM when it's out soon, I'm obviously waiting to see it in como but I want to know what you guys think about the car? I'm Unable to keep both cars in London so I have to pick one. How do you compare F12 with FF?
Interesting discussion re the FF... I absolutely love mine. Comfortable, fast, and most importantly that fantastic V12. Looks aggressive and stylish but I wouldn't call it beautiful. Of course, it's overpriced. There are really only 2 recommended ways to buy one. Either a new one at MSRP but get a hot car as part of the deal, or a used one at 40 pct off. Either way, your weighted average depreciation is reasonable. With all that said, I will always own one so I have something useable alongside all the other stupid unusable 2 seater rockets.
I accept I am biased, but much as I love the FF and it is a wonderful car, the choice is a total no brainer unless you are commuting to the Swiss slopes with a car full of skis.
FF = 365 days a year; rain, shine, snow, blizzard - the car simply does it ALL! F12 = everytime you get in it, it makes you smile, and leaves you smiling long after you get out....it's just a beast that keeps wanting to go and go, but doesn't the practicality (space/seats/boot space/etc) if i had to choose only one, hands-down FF (or replacement), no second thought on that
Hi Tim I respect that unlike me you are a long time Ferrari owner and have had the experience with many exciting F cars , so please elaborate more, as I want to know why you would choose the F12 over the new FF.
I just read through the thread as well. I don't think they're boosting ego by stating they bought new vs the guy who bought used. Rather they're calling brian out for being a *****. Brian openly blasted some guy for stating the FF was too expensive for him. He even suggests he finds somewhere else to post since in Brian's opinion his thoughts aren't welcome here. This was all simply because I the poster said he'd love to see a cheaper v8 so that he could get his hands on one. Brian's response was that this guy should find a new car to lust after if he can't swing the V12. The irony is that Brian bought his car used for less than a V8 model would be offered for as new price. I could be wrong but I believe that about sums the last 40 posts up.
On a more positive note who will be in Cernobbio in two weeks? I'd love to meet a few of you from here if we can identify each other.
The FF is the perfect GT car for my needs, I like to use her travelling to the racetracks with fully loaded trunk including bicycle, corse clienti luggage and all my other stuff I need. yes you can put that all in a range rover as well but nothing is better to race with a ferrari and arrive at the track in a ferrari. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, for me it is a beautiful GT Car, but to each his own. I will be in Como as well and very curious about the new one. Image Unavailable, Please Login

I will fly in from Frankfurt and arrive to Milan around 1400 on Monday. I thought about driving the FF down but it will be quicker this way.
thanks, appreciate that you understood my words and my perspective. f12 vs FF is one of I thought about a lot. A fellow friend and member here who owns a ton of cars put it to me this way. If he didn't care so much about looks, the FF wld be his daily driver. He uses his Ferrari f12 every day to commute to and from NYC. He said the f12 is a bit too temperamental and twitchy for every day use. He wld much prefer the FF but like many others he cldnt come to terms with the aesthetics. In my 4 years of FF ownership I have been very pleased. As I mentioned in this post, the rear seats don't add a ton of value for me. I find I try avoid using them, ie kids in the front, rarely in the back, and with more than 2 adults I take the ranger rover. The drive is impeccable, probably the BEST balance of performance and comfort. I'm not an S63 type guy but I totally understand what my friend meant when he said the f12 was a bit too edgy for daily use. The awd and snows tires have been great. My friend with the f12 drives his car in the northeast winters with snows with ease so I'm not sure the AWD is really a big differentiator. In conclusion, if the looks don't bother you I believe the FF is the best daily driver. If they do bother you then the f12 can do a great job as a year round DD. If you are looking for a DD, definitely consider the FF. If you are looking for a v12 that will be driven twice a month or less then go for the f12. Really to me the only point in an FF is literally to drive it every day. Good luck
It has nothing to do with egos or prices. Some are projecting insecurity issues. 1. Anyone who wants a FF can get a used one for a great deal. 160-190. So money has nothing to do with anything I have said. 2. The FF is a V12 and that Ferrari specific V12 NA is INTEGRAL to the FF. Put a V8TT in the FF and you don't have an FF anymore. 3. People moaning about the price or look or V12 in the FF are in the wrong place. It is what it is. The arrogance here is hardly mine, these are simply facts. Hating on the looks or the engine means you don't like the car. Totally fine. Why not post on a subforum where you have something constructive to offer and like the car? I'm really tired of the FF haters on this forum. Get another car ! Ferrari is not making a car for a price point or max sales. Increasing sales is one thing, consumer driven ideas like max sales are another thing altogether. So is a V8TT in a FF.
Which part do you disagree with? Have you driven the FF? Do you like it? Do you like the V12? Can you see that there is nothing about money in my comments EXCEPT that asking Ferrari to lower the prices on new cars that you can get used with 4k miles for 40% off MSRP is both ridiculous for you to ask, and not their business model as historically they protect owners. And what is your aim here besides complaining about the FF?
